South Street, Greenport, New York, at 3 :00 P.M. , Thursday, February 10, 1972, with the following present: Supervisor Albert M. Martocchia, Councilman James H. Rich, Jr. , Councilman James F. Homan, .Justice Martin Suter, Justice Louis M. Demarest, Town Attorney Robert W. Tasker, Superintendent of Highways Raymond C. Dean, and Town Clerk Albert W. Richmond. On motion of Justice Suter, seanded by Justice Demarest, it was RESOLVED: That the minutes of January 25, 1972 be and they hereby are approved. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Councilman Homan, seconded by Councilman Rich, it was RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held at the Supervisor ' s Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, on February 22 , 1972, at 3 :00 P.M. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Councilman Rich, seconded by Justice Suter, it ,was RESOLVED: That the reports of Supervisor Martocchia, Building Inspector Terry, and Town Clerk Richmond for the month of January 1972 be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Councilman Homan, seconded by Justice Suter, WHEREAS Stuart Staples has applied to the Town Board for a single trailer permit dated NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Stuart Staples to locate a single trailer on the west side Cox Neck Road, Cutchogue, New York, be and the same is hereby denied. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Councilman Rich, seconded by Councilman Homan, WHEREASI,� the Southold Fire Department requests permission to use the following roads or streets for a parade on July lst, 1972, at 6:00 P.M. , or rain date, July 2, 1972 at 4 :00 P.M. : Main Street, Oaklawn Avenue, Horton Lane, Traveler Street, and part of Boisseau Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Southold Fire Department be 4.ranted ythe ksr-equest for Town roads only. A request must be made to the State of New York for the use of Main State ,Road. Moved by Justice Demarest, seconded by Justice Suter,, WHEREAS this Board heretofore advertised for bids for six (6) new 1972 special police cars, five (5) marked and one (1) unmarked, and WHEREAS, after study of the bids it was recommended that all bids be rejected, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That bids for six new special police cars be ro�-�'ected and the Police Chief be authorized to readvertise for police cars. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. -1�51 Moved by Councilman Homan, seconded by Justice Suter, WHEREAS the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Cutchogue Fire District has requested from the Southold Town Board an easement for the purpose of placing an electrical fire siren on a pole on the southerly side of George's Road, New Suffolk. The pole upon which the siren will be located is 100 ft. in a westerly direction from the easterly terminus of George ' s Road with the westerly side of 5th Street, New Suffolk. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: Tht this Board grant the Commissioners of the Cutchogu e Fire Department their request for a siren. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Councilman Rich, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was RESOLVED: That Terry Harnan, Southold, New York, be and she hereby is appointed to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for a period of .two years effective February 1, 1972 , term ending February 1, 1974. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Justice Demarest, it was,- . RESOLVED: That Thomas Reeve, Mattituck, New York, be and he hereby is appointed to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for a period of two years, effective February 1, 1972, term ending February 1, 1974. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Justice Suter,., seconded by Councilman Homan, WHEREAS John J.. .Klein. has. applied to, the Town. Board.. for., a single trailer r.enewaL,,permit dated .January .13,. 1972 , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of John J. Klein to. locate a single -trailer: on his property on, Main .Road, Mattituck, New York be and hereby .is granted for a period of six (6) months . Ayes: Vote- of the. Town Board:/ Supervisor. Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by -Justice Demarest., WHEREAS Zdzislaw Mekalojczyk has applied to the Town Board for a single trailer renewal permit dated January 26, 1972 , NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT, RESOLVED: That the application of Zdzislaw Mekalojczyk to locate a single trailer on his property at Johns *Road, east side Main Road, Mattituck, New York, be, and hereby is •granted for a six (6) month period., Vote of the Town Board: Ayes : Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Homan, WHEREAS, a petition was received from Halsey Staples, Greenport, New York, requesting a change of zone on certain property in Greenport, said petition fora change f5fom "A" Residential and Agricultural District to - "B-1" General Business District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this applica- tion to the Planning Board in accordance with Article XVI, Section 52 1600 of the Building Zone' Ordinance •of the Town of Southold. I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT- RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the' Town of-Southold-be and he hereby- is directed to-transmit this appli-- cation to the Planning Board in accordance with Article XVI, Section 1600 of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold. Moved by Justice Demarest, seconded by Justice Suter, it was RESOLVED: That General bills in the amount of $12, 741. 32 ; Special Districts bills 'in the amount, of $22 , 907 . 32 ; Fishers Island Ferry District bills• in the amount of $11, 346. 15 ; and• Highway Department bills in the amount of $13, 372 .03 be and the same are hereby ordered paid. Capital Account in- the amount of $6, 685 . 67.
