The Southold Town Board' met at the office 'of' the Supervisor.,
Lester M. Albertson, at Greenport, New York, with the follow-
ing present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest. and
Valentine; Justices Tuthill. and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker
Supt. of Highways 'Price and Town Clerk Richmond.
The Hearing on the Preliminary Budget for 1965 was opened by the
Supervisor at 3:00 P.M. and the minutes were taken by Barbara
Carrozza.
Moved' by Councilman' Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark;
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting of October 27, 1964 be
and 'they' are hereby duly approved.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by' Councilman Valentine; seconded by Councilman Demarest; ' -
RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will -be held
at the office of the Supervisor, Lester-M. Albertson, at 16
South St. , Greenport', New York, on Tuesday, November 10, 1964,
at 3:00 P.M.

attend the Law Institute Forum on Racial Crisis on December 3, 4
and -5-, 1964, ,and be- it further
RESOLVED:. That the necessary expenses incurred while attending.. said .
meeting be a legal charge against the Town of Southold.

the Long Island Lighting Company to install the following:
(1) Two (2) 100 cpoh street lights on NYTCO poles No. 192 and 194,
Oregon Road, Mattituck, N.Y... in the Mattituck #1 Light _District, . and
(2) One (1) 100 cpoh street light on LILCO pole; # 13 on Gull 'Pond
Road, Greenport, N,.Y. in- the E-w Greenport Light District.

RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $3,880.64; Lighting

District Bills in the amount of $1.0, 526.13 and Highway Bills in
the amount of $ 14, 236.78 be and the same are hereby ordered paid.

WHEREAS, the Town Board Io£ the Town .of Southold, N.Y. has met at
the time and place specified in the. notice of public hearing on the
Preliminary Budget. and heard all persons desiring to be heard thereon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of
Southold does hereby adopt such preliminary budget as ori4inally
compiled, as the annual budget of this Town for the fiscal year
beginning the lst day of January 1965, and that such budget as so
adopted be entered in detail in the minutes of the proceedings of
this Town Board, and be it further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold shall prepare
and certify, in duplicate, copies of said annual budget as adopted
by the Town Board of the Town of Southold, together with the estimates,
if any, adopted pursuant to Section 202-a, sgbdivision 2, of the Town
Law, and deliver one copy. thereof to the Supervisor of this Town
to be presented by him to the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Suffblk. Dated: Nov. 5, 1964. .
