MEETING OF JUKE 5, 1964
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Lester M.
Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenport„New. York, on June 5, 1964.
The meeting-was. called to order at 3:.00 P.M. with. the_ following
present: Supervisor Albertson; .Councilmen Demarest and Valentine;
Justices Tuthill and Clark; .Supt. of .Highways Price; Town Clerk
Richmond.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: .That the minutes- of May .19,. 1964 be and they hereby are
duly approved

WHEREAS, Reydon Shores Property Owners Association applied to the
Town Board for some financial assistance in dredging the harbor
and lagoon at Reydon Shores,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Lester M. Albertson, Supervisor,
be and he hereby is authorized to contribute half of the total cost
up to but not to exceed the sum of $168.00 toward the cost of the
dredging.

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners operate the summer theatre at
Fort Wright, Fishers Island, -N.Y. ,- and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to employ two:projectionists and -an •alte' rnate
projectionist, -one cashier, : a j anitor and one ticket taker,'

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners-- of= Fishers Island Ferry District re-
quires the services of an attendant' at Elizabeth Airport, Fishers Island,
New.. York, 'and .
WHEREAS, Harry L. Guest, by letter dated May-22, 1064, has declined
to serve 'in this- capacity- for -the 1964 summer season and application
for this position has been received from- Edward Rakita of Colchester,
Connecticut,
BE IT RESOLVED:- That Edward- Rakita ,of Colchester, Conn, be appointed
attendant at Elizabeth Airfield for the summer season of 1964, and
BE IT RESOLVED: That compensation shall be $100.00 per week-payable
semi-monthly and be it further

at the New London Terminal, and
WHEREAS,_-Thomas A.-=Murphy of 20 Cedar Grove, New London, Conn., .has acted
in this capacity last season, . -
BE .IT RESOLVED: That Thomas A. Murphy be engaged as Porter and Parking
lot attendant at the New 'London Terminal and shall. be compensated at
the rate -of :$60.00 per week-payable. monthly,• and be ..it further

be and hereby =is increased from .$5600 to $5800.00 per year effective
June 27, 1964.

WHEREAS,. Ann Hallock .Curr-ie-Bell is an esteemed and highly respected
resident 'df Southold-'and is doing a great service to Southold' Town, and
WHEAEAS, . Mrs. 'Currie-Bell -and her late husband, Thomas Currie-Bell, at
one time were the owners-of a much-cherished boat which they named-
"Bluebell",
NOW,, THEREFORE, BE IT'RESOLVED: That the Town of' Southold name the newly
purchased Town Boat '"Bluebell" in appreciation 'of the many years of
civic.. activities of Ann. Hallock Currie-Bell.
