Albertson, at Greenport, N.Y. with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker; Supt. of Highways Price and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the minutes of January 14, 1964 be and they hereby are duly approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervise Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Demarest.; seconded by Councilman Valentine; RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will beheld at the office .of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson at 16 South Street, Greenport, New York on Tuesday, February 4, 1964, at 3: 00 P.M. Vote of. Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; At 3: 00 P.M. on January 21, 1964 in accordance with a notice published according to law, bids were opened for proposals to construct a' fallout shelter for the Town of Southold, at Peconic, Town of Southold, N.Y. The following bids were submitted: 1. Rampasture Building Co. , Hampton Bays, N.Y. $ 6, 200.00 2, M. W. Development Corp. , , 93 Court St. , Babylon, NY 24, 864.00 3 . William B. Smith, Main Road, N.Y. 5, 800.00 4. Harold R. Reeve & Sons, Inc. , Mattituck, N.Y. 6, 590.00 5 . R. J. Barabino Inc. Dyke Rd. , Setauket, N.Y. 10, 800.00 6. Tufano Contracting Corp. , Quogue, N.Y. 11, 200-.00 7 . Mobley Raynor Contractors, Westhampton Beach, N.Y. 6,450.00 Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Valentine: WHEREAS, this Board does hereby find that the proposal of William B. Smith to construct the Fallout and Storage Shelter at Peconic, N.Y.- in accordance with specifications is the lowest proposal for said work, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Supervisor Alberto be ,and he here- by is directed to enter into a contract with William B. Smith for the construction of the Fallout and Storage Shelter at Peconic, New .York. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; .Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Southold be authorized to advertise for bids and to purchase from the lowest responsible bidder, the following or equal:' One (1) 1963 Chevrolet Carryall with lw volt system, and not more than 25, 000 miles (Second Hand) Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS-,'- the Southold Fire Department of Southold, N.Y. has requested permission to use the roads in the vicinity of Tuckers Lane and the parking area in the rear of the Legion Building for recreation and parade activities on June 25, 1964 from 7: 00 P.M. through the evening, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That this area be closed to traffic for this purpose. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, James Fitzpatrick, Patrolman Constable, has requested the Town Board to grant him permission to transfer from the Southold Town Police Force to the Suffolk County Police, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board consents that James Fitzpatrick be transferred to the Suffolk County Police. Vote of Town Board: yes-Supervisor Albertson; ; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. 288 Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request the Long Island Lighting Company to install the following street lights: GREENPORT LIGHTING DISTRICT: North Rd. and Middleton Rd.-LIL CO. pole #39 400 Whv Middleton Road poles #3, 5, 7 100 c - II 01 " " #9 250 c (8' bracket) Washington Ave. 11 #11 100 c North Road & Moores Lane " & NYT Co. pole # 408 400 WMV Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor -Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Valentine: RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and hereby is directed to request the Long Island Lighting Company to install 1-400 WMV street light on Pole #58341 New York Telephone Company on the corner of Bridge Lane and Route 25 in the Cutchogue Light District. - Vote of Town Board: ayes-6upervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; WHEREAS, .a petition was received form James V. and Frances J. Calfa requesting a change of zone of certain property in North Main Street, Greenport, N.Y. described in said petition from "A" Residential and Agricultural District to "B" Business District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED': That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold be 'and he hereby is directed to transmit this application to the Planning Board in accordance with the Section 901, Subdivision C of Article IX of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and 'Clark. A letter was received from J. H. Molitor requesting participation of the Town in opening the entrance of Gull Pond. The residents are willing to pay one half of the cost. A petition was received with about 15 names requesting the dredging of Baldwin' s (Mudd) Creek. After requests from the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce and other inter- ested persons in the locality, the Supervisor contacted the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requesting them to be responsible for the maintenance work at Mattituck Inlet insofar as maintaining an adequate depth is concerned. There will be a Corps of Engineer' s Hearing on this proposal which will be held on thesecond floor - of the Mattituck Fire House on Febnuary 19, 1964 at 1: 00 P.M. Ad j our nment .
