Albertson, at Greenport, New York, on Tuesday, -December 10, 1963, with the - fsllowing present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen" Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney Tacker; Supt. of Highways Price and Town Clerk Richmond-. Moved "by Justice Clark; ' seconded ,by Justice Tuthill-- RESOLVED: That the minutes of -November- 26, 1963 and Special- Meeting of December 4, 1963, 'be and -they hereby are duly approved. Vote of Town Board: Aye's-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill " and Clark. Moved by Justice -Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the regular meeting of the Town Board will be held at the Supervisor' s Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, December 24, 1963, at 3: 00 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. At 3:00 P.M. in accordance with a notice published according to law, Supervisor Albertson read the notice for bids for a Fallout ,Command Storage Shelter to be located in Peconic, N.Y. There were no. bids re- ceived: . Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby is authorized-to readvertise for- bids fora Fallout Command Storage Shelter to be located in. Peconic, N.Y. , bids to be opened January 21, 1964, at 3:00 P.M. Albertson for the month of November 1963 be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill; RESOLVED: That the report of Ralph P. Cox, Dog Warden, for the month of November 1963 be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That Bond No. 73S-1167BC, issued by the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company in the name of Henry Brewster Faucon, in the sum of $4000.00 be and the same is hereby approved as to its form, manner of execution and sufficiency of sureties therein. Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark; WHEREAS, Race Point Corporation by petition verified the 18th day of September, 1963, petitioned the Town Board for a change of zone of certain real property described in said petition, from "A" Residential and Agricultural District to "B" Business District, and WHEREAS, the said petition .was referred to the Planning B®. rd for its official recommendation and report, and WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to due notice thereof, held a hearing thereon on November 14, 1963, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Building Zone Ordinance including the Building Zone Maps be amended from "A" Resid- ential and Agricultural District to "B" Business District the following described property: ALL that certain tract of parcel of land situated at Fishers Island, in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York and more partic- ularly bounded and described as follows: Parcel indicated as No. 2 on map of Plan of Fort H. G. Wright Reser- vation by Chandler & Palmer, Revised February 21, 1957; Beginning at a point on the Northwesterly line of Whistler Avenue, said point being located 210.48 feet South of a point which is 5518.48 feet west of the said "PROS" monument and thence running North 25 degrees 10' West 159.9 feet; thence South 53 degrees 15 ' West 89.31 feet; thence 67 degrees 17 ' West 157.85 feet; thence North 43 degrnes 06 ' West 377 .41 feet; these,7:last four lines abutting Northeasterly and North- westerly on land of the said Ferry District; thence South 48 degrees 08 ' West 108.85 feet abutting Northwesterly on the land designated as "U.S.C.G. Quarters Site" ; thence South 41 degrees 52 ' East '456.33 feet, abutting Southwesterly on said Ferry District land; thence along said Whistler Avenue line North 67 degrees 13 ' East 322.1 feet to the point of beginning, the bearing in the above described parcel are referred to true meridian. S. Coast Guard Site for Fishers Island Life Boat Station" abutting Northeasterly on said Ferry District land this last bearing is referred to the true meridian; thence South 550 30' West 205 .70 feet to a spike, abutting Northwesterly on said Life Boat Station Site; thence North 51 degrees 00' West 119.95 feet to a rod; abutting Northeasterly on said Life Boat Station Site and a site of the Department of the Navy; thence South 50 degrees 33 ' West 182.75 feet; thence North 49 degrees 51' West 25..0 feet; thence North 50 degrees 33 ' East 40.0 feet, thence North 49 degrees. 51 ' West 20.0 feet to a rod; thence North 41 degrees 09 ' East 317.2 feet .to a rod at the shore of Fishers Island Sound, these last five lines abutting Northwesterly Northeasterly and Southeasterly on the said Navy .Site, these last seven bearings are referred to the magnetic. meridian; thence following the meanders of said shore line in a Southwesterly direction about 1800 feet to land of the said Ferry District; thence North 67 degrees 13 ' East 785 .60 feet; thence South 22 degrees 47 ' . East 125 -feet; thence North 67 degrees 13 ' East 329.2 feet; thence North 22 degrees 47 ' West 125 feet; thence North .67 degrees 13 ' East 768.55 feet to the point of beginning, these last five lines abutting. Southeasterly, .. Southwesterly, Southeasterly, Northeasterly .and Southeasterly on land of said Ferry District, these last five bearings are referred to the true meridian. 266 AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and directed to cause notice of said amendment to be post- ed and published pursuant to law. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl; RESOLVED: That the Supt. of Highways of the Town of Southold be auth- orized to advertise for bids and to purchase from the lowest respon- sible bidder the following: One (1) new 1964 International Dump Truck Model R-192 complete with new Garwood G. C. 2-four yard dump body with Model A 50-10 ton capacity hoist, or equal, specifications of which may be obtained at the office of the Supt. of Highways, Peconic, N.Y. _ Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; ouncilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl; WHEREAS, Carl Frelix, Jr . applied to the Town Board for a single trailer renewal permit dated Nov. 27, 1963, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Carl Frelix, Jr . to locate a single trailer on property of Herman Hubbard, north side of Main Toad, Mattituck, N.Y, be and hereby is granted for year round occupancy for a one year period. Moved by Councilman Grathwhl; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, Minnie Wilson applied to the Town Board for a single trailer renewal permit dated Nov. 26, 1963, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Minnie Wilson to locate a single trailer on the property of Claude Wilton, Middle Rd. Cutchogue, N.Y. be and hereby is granted for year round occupancy for a period of one year, December. 10,. 1963 . ' NOW, ,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Freddie Lawson to locate a single trailer on the south side of Sound Avenue, Mattitu;ck New York be and hereby is granted for year round occupancy for a period of one year, dated December 10, 1963 . Klein, Sr. has applied to the Town Board for a single trailer renewal permit dated December 2, 1963, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of John J. Klein, Sr. to locate a singel trailer on his property Main Road, Mattituck, New York, be and hereby is granted for year round occupancy for a -one year period, dated December 10, 1963 . Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, Alfred Young applied to the Town Board for a single trailer renewal permit dated November 26, 1963, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Alfred Young to locate a single trailer on his own property Sound Avenue, Southold, New York be and hereby is granted for year round occupancy for a one year period. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; WHEREAS, Southold American Legion G.T.G.Post #803 of Southold, N.Y. applied to the Town Board for a Bingo License Amendment, 'and WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after investigation duly made findings and determinations as required by law, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and lie hereby is 4uthorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Board the findings and determinations as required by law, and it is further RESOLVED: Tlgat the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to issue an Amended Bingo License to the Southold American Legion G.T.G. Post #803 . Ohlmann has applied to the Town Board for a single trailer renewal permit dated Nov. 26, 1963, NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Robert H. Ohlmann to locate a single trailer on his property, Bay Road, Southold, New York be and the same hereby is denied. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That John Nierodzik of Peconic, New York, be and he hereby is appointed School Traffic Officer at a salary of $6.50 per day for each school day worked, effective as of December 11, 1963, he to serve at the pleasure of the Town Board. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $7760.93; Lighting Dis- trict Bills in the amount of $2, 958 .17 and Fishers Island Ferry District Bills in the amount of $12, 887 .53 be and the same are hereby ordered paid.
