WE, the undersigned, being members of the Town Board of the Town of
Southold, Suffolk County, New York, do hereby severally waive .notice ..,
of the time, place and purpose of the meeting. of the Town Board to be .

A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the Supervisor' s
Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, on Tuesday, April 16, 1963,
the members of the Board having waived notiee. of the time, place and
purpose of the meeting. The meeting was called to order awby the Supervisor, .
Lester M. Albertson, at 2:00 P.M. with the following present:Supervisor
Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark;
Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond.
Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl;
WHEREAS, Robert Waddington, Jr. was the lowest bidder ($�6., 042.00) for
making alterations and additions to the Fishers Island District Terminal
Building, located at Fishers Island, New York,

WHEREAS, Thames .River Dock and Dredge Company was the , lowest bidder
($13.580) for dock repairs and ramp relocation to the Fishers Island
Ferry District Terminal located at Fishers Island, New York,

hereby authorized to ,advertise for bid for Diesel Oil acid Lube Oil f�r
ferry use,

WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferr.y. District are, sub-
_ject. to the approval of the Town .Board, authorized to lease Elizabeth Air-
fie-ld, ,:�,Fishers Island, for any legal business purpose, and '
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Fishers Island Fery District
desire to advertise for bids for the operation of said Airfield for a
term of 5 years,
RESOLVED: That the Board of Commissioners be and they are hereby author-
ized to advertise for bids for the leasing of said Airfield for a term
of. 5 years provided, however, that-'said Commissioners shall not accept
any such bid nor enter into any lease uantil the terms of such lease have
been approved by the Town Board after/public hearing held by the Ferry
Commissioners' as required by Chapter 620 of the laws of 1951. Ayes ALL

WHEREAS, ' the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District
wish to enter into a. bareboat charter with the Interstate Navig-
ation Company for a period commencing May 13, 1963,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board approves
the action of the Commissioners of the Fishes Island Ferry District
d=-entering .into a contract with the Interstate Navigation Company.

MEETING OF APRIL 23, 1963
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Lester M: Albert-
son, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, on April 23, 1963 . The meeting
was called to order at 3:00 P.M. with the following present; Supervisor
Albertson; Councilman Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney
Tasker; Supt. of Highways Price and Town-Clerk Richmond.
Moved by -Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest;
RESOLVED: That the minutes of April 9, 1963 be and they are hereby duly
approved: Vote of Town Board: Ayes-supervisor Albertson; Councilman
Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.

RESOLVED: That the minutes of the Special meeting April 16, 1963 be and
hereby are duly approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson;
Councilman Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.

RESOLVED: That the regular meeting of the Town Board will be held at the
office of the- Supervisor,- Lester M. . Albertson, 16 South Street,' Greenport,
New York, on Tuesday,' May 7, 1963, at 3:00 P.M.

Justice's Tuthill and Clark.

WHEREAS, Supervisor Albertson had the following two estimates on extending
the present bulkhead at Gull Pond:
New Suffolk Dock Builders ---------$29.50 per foot
Ralph Preston Inc.-----------------28.25 per foot -
and
WHEREAS, -Ralph Preston Inc. was the lowest bidder,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Supervisor Albertson be and he here-
by is authorized to enter into a contract with Ralph Preston Inc: for
extending the present bulkhead at Gull Pond.

WHEREAS, a petition wasrreceived from residents of East Marion for street
lights on Gillette Drive and East Gillette Drive in Marion Manor Develop-
ment,
RESOLVED, That the Supervisor request the Long Island Lighting Company
to make a survey of the Marion Manor area.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Demarest;
Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark;
WHEREAS, the term of Serge .J. Doyen, Jr. as a member of the Board of
Appeals expires April 19, 1963, and
.WHEREAS, Serge J. Doyen, Jr. has rendered a most valuable service as a
member of the Board of Appeals of the Town of Southold,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Serge J. Doyen, Jr. be ,and he hereby
is reappointed a member of the Board of Appeals of the Town of Southold
for a term of five years, such term expiring on April 19, 1968 .
