The. Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervia'r, Lester M.
Albertson, . at Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, March 26, 1963 . The meeting
was called to order at 3: OO. P.M. with the- following present: Supervisor
Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices- Tuthill and• Clark;
Supt'. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and 'Town �clerk Richmond.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl;
RESOLVED: That 'the minutes of the Special meeting of March 7, 1963 be
and'. they hereby are duly approved.
Vote of. Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen'Demarest and
Grathwohl; 'Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Grathohl; _
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting of March. 12, 1963 be and they
hereby are duly approved.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and

RESOLVED: That the regular meeting. of the Town Board will be held at the
Supervisor' s Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, April
9, 1963 at 3: 00 P.M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor- Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and
Grathwohl'; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by. Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl;
WHEREAS, - the--Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District wish
to advertise for bids .and contract for making alterations and additions
to the Fishers Island Ferry ,District Terminal Building, located at
Fishers: Island, N.Y. ,
RESOLVED: That the right is reserved to reject any _particular bid or bids
and to reject all bids. The Towri Board of the Town of Southold or the
Board of Commissioners if authorized may accept or reject any bid and
may''award the contract to that bidder whose bid is deemed -timost favor-
able to the district. The acceptance of' any bid by the' Commissioners
of the. Fishers 'Island Ferry District shall be subject `to the approval
of the Town Board of the Town. of Southold, N.Y. and be it resolved that
the Southold Town Board approves the action of the Commissioners of the
Fishers Island Ferry District.

WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District wish to
advertise for bids and contract for dock repairs and ramp relocation
to the Fishers Island Ferry District Terminal located at Fishers Island,
RESOLVED: That the right is reserved to reject any particular bid. or
bids 'and to reject all bids, The Town Board of the Town of Southold or
the Board of Commissioners if authorized may accept or reject any bid ,
and may award the contract to that bidder whose bid is' deemed ='�most
favorable to the District. The acceptance of any bid by the Commission-
ers of the Fishers Island' Ferry District shall be subject to .the approval
of the Town Board of the Town of Southold.

WHEREAS, the. Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District wish to
advertise for bids and contract for a Diesel Generator,
RESOLVED: That the right is- reserved to reject any particular bid or bids
and to reject all bids... The Town Board' of the Town of Southold or the '
Board of Commissioners , if authorized, may accept or reject any bid and
may award the contract to that bidder whose bid is "deemed most favorable
to the District. The acceptance of any bid by the Commissioners of the
Fishers Island' Ferry District shall be subject to the approval of the
Town Board of the Town of Southold, N.Y.

RESOLVED: That the 8upt. of Highways,- of the Town of Southold be author-
ized to advertise for bids and to purchase from the lowest ,responsible
bidder One (1) 1963 Model 2504 1 .HC industrial Tractor,- or equal:

RESOLVED: That the Supt. of Highways of the Town of Southold be author-
ized to advertise for bids and to purchase from the lowest responsible
Bidder 500,000 gals of Asphalt road material or as much. thereof as
may be needed to be delivered to Fishers Island for the repairs of
Town Highways from April 15, 1963 to April 15, 1964.

and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark.

WHEREAS, the Town Board duly adopted an. ordinance permitting Bingo in
the Town of Southold on the 20th day of July, 1958, and
WHEREAS, the provisions of the Executive Law and the General'Municipal
Law of the State of New York have since the. enactment of the said_ :ord-
inance been amended, and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary, to amend said ordinance to conform to, the
amended provisions of the General Municipal Law and the Executive, Law-,-
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That hthis Board shall hold a public
hearing at. the. Supervisor 's office, 16 South Street, Greenport,. N.Y.
on the 9th day of April, .1963 at 7:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. of
that day in the matter of the amendment of the Southold Town, ordinance
permitting bingo in the Town of Southold, as, follows:
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY THE, . .
TOWN OF SOUTHOLD,, SUFFOLK .COUNTY, NEW'YORK, 'AUTHORIZING
THE CONDUCT OF BINGO BY CERTAIN ORGANIZATIONS ,.FOR ..
CERTAIN PURPOSES IN .SUCH TOWN,
Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend an ord-
inance adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk
County, New York, .dated July 28, 1958, .authorizing the conduct of bingo
.in such town to change the reference, in .such' ordinance from Article
14-G of the General Municipal Law to..Article 14-H of the General. Munic-
ipal Law, as so renumbered by Chapter 438of the Laws of 1962, and to. '
set forth therein the following additional amended and renumbered re-
strictions concerning the conduct of the game of bingo- by an authorized
organization in such Town as required by Section 479 of the General
Municipal Law of the State of New York as amended by Chapter 438 of the
Laws of 1962:
BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDAINED, that it shall. be lawful ffor any authorized
organization, as defined, in Section 476 of Article 14-H of the General
Municipal Law, upon obtaining the required license, to conduct the game
of bingo within the territorial limits of the Town of Southold,,, subject
to the provisions of this ordinance, Article 14-H of. the General Munic-
ipal Law and Article 19-B of the Executive Law,. and the following ✓
restrictions:
1. No person, firm, association, corporation or organiz-
ation other than a licencee under the provisions of Article 14-H of the
General Municipal Law, shall conduct such game or shall lease or other-
wise make available for conducting bingo a hall or other premises for
any consideration what soever, direct or indirect.
-2. No bingo games shall be held, operated or conducted on
or within any leased premises if rental under such lease is to'be paid,
,wholly or partly, on the basis of ,a percentage of the receipts, or
net profits derived from the, operation of such game.
3 . No authorized organization licensed under the provisions
of .Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law shall .purchase or receive
any supplies. or equipment specifically designed or adapted . for use in
the conduct of bingo games from other than a supplier licensed .under ,.
the Bingo Control Law or from .another. authorized organization.
4. The entire net proceeds of any' game of bingo and of any
rental shall be exclusively devoted to the lawful purposes of the� org-
anization permitted to conduct the same.
5 . No prize shall exceed the sum of value oft'-.two hundred fifty
dollars in any single game of bingo.
6. No series of prizes on any one bingo occasion shall aggreg-
ate more than one thousand dollars.-
7. No person except a bona fide member of any such organization
shall participate in the management or operation of such game.
8. No person shall receive any remuneration for g.4mticipating
in' the management -'or operation of any game of bingo.
9. The unauthorized conduct of & bingo game and any willful
violation of any provisions of this ordinance shall constitute and be
punishable asa,,a misdemeanor.

At 3: 30 P.M. in accordance with a notice published according to law, bids
were opened for proposals to furnish to the Town of Southold, 75,000
gallons of special grade gasoline for the use of Southold Town Police
and -'Highways Departments.

WHEREAS, R. A. McCallum, Socony Mobil was the lowest bidder for the
75, 000 gals, of special grade gasoline,
RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby is direct-
ed to enter into a contract with R. A. McCallum, Socony Mobil for the
purchase of 75, 000 gallons of special grade gasoline at' the price of
.1467 per gallon for the use of the Southold Town Police and-Highways
Departments, or as much thereof as may bey-required during the period
from April 1, 1963 to March 31, 1964.

WHEREAS, Southold Town Planning Board has prepared an official report
and recommendation upon amendments pursuant to the provisions of Article
IX of the Building Zone Ordinance,
NOW, THEREFORE, - BE- IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will ..be held by- the
Southol&`Town Board at ,the Supervisor' s Office, .16 mouth Street, Green-
port, N.Y. on Tuesday, April 9, 1963; at 7: 30 P.M. on the .above mentioned
amendment;- pursuant to provisions of Article IX of .the Building Zone
Ordinance and that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and
directed to cause a notice of said hearing to be published in the Suffolk
Times pursuant to the requirements of law.

day of March, 1963 .
