Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, March 12, 1963 at 3:00 P.M. .with the' following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl;- Justice.- Clark; Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the minutes of February 26, 1963 be and they hereby are duly approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervise' Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justice Clark. Moved by -Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl; RESOLVED: That the minutes of Special meeting of February 21, 1963, be and they hereby are duly approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justice Clark. 1 Moved by- Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the next regular monthly meeting of this .Town Board will be held at the office of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, March26, 1963 at 3:00 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justice Clark. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl;. RESOLVED: That Bond No. 73S-1332BC, issued by the .Aetna Casualty and Surety Company in the name of James P. Kelly in the sum of $4000.00 be and the same is hereby approved as to its form, , manner of execution and sufficiency of sureties therein. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Superviscr Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justice Clark. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED:* That General Bills in the amount, of $4149.27; Lighting District Bills in the amount of $2755.27 and Fishers Island Bills in the amount of $9351.12 be and the same are hereby ordered paid. . Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by, Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the Supt. of Highways o f the Town of Southold be and he hereby is authorized to advertise for the purchase��from the lowest bidder the followipg (or equal) - One (1) second hand Mack dump truck Model ' E. Q. not ol` r than 1959, with tandem rear axle and not less than tenyard dump body. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-,superviscr Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justice Clark. WHEREAS, Souttold American Legion, G.T.G.Post #803 of Southold, N.Y. applied to the Town Clerk for a Bingo License, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after invest- igation, duly made findings and determinations as required by law, - NOW, ,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of.,the Board the findings and determinations required by law, and it is further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and hereby is directed to issue - a Bingo Licenseb �, to the Southold American Legion, G.T.G. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the report of Howard M. Terry, Building Inspector for the month of February, be accepted by the Town Board and, placed on file. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl; WHEREAS, a petition was received from Joseph Riccardo and Jack Driscoll requesting a change of zone .of certain property in Mattituck, New York, described in said petition from "A" Residential and Agric- ultural District to "B" Business District, BOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901, Subdivision;.0 of Article IX of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold. Mrs. Proctor, Joyce Terry and Mrs. Frank Csajko appeared before the Board as a group known as North Fork Animal Welfare Group asking; . if they could assist the Town in the care of animals. Mrs. Florence Kramer, Town Historian, reported on a Telephone con- ference held by her and Mr. Murphy, 7th and 8th grade History teacher of Fishers Island, This conversation is the first of such as connection .by telephone where the pupils could ask the Town Historian questions from the classroom and hear the answers by phone. A . letter was received from tjhe Chamber of Commerce of Cutchogue, N..Y. requesting information on the beach at New Suffolk and the fence that extends to the water . Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed .to request the Greenport Light District to install one 100 cp overhead street light at the .Southold Town Beach at the end of Silvermere Road in the Greenport Light District.
