MEETING OF DBCEMBER 11, 1962.
;the Southold Town Board met ...at the office of the Supervisor, Lester M.
Albertson at Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, December 11, 1962, at 3:00 PM
with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Gratwhohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Supt. of Highways Price;
Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. ,
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill;
RESOLVED: That the minutes of. the .meeting. of November 27, 1962,. be
and they hereby are duly approved.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill .and Clark.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest;,
RESOLVED: That the regular monthly. meeting of the Town Board will be
held at the Supervisor ' s Office, 16 South Street,. Greenport, N.Y, on
Friday, December 28, 1962 at . 3::00 P.M.

Grathwohj.; Justices Tuthill and Clark.

WHEREAS, a petition was received from. Woodhollow Properties;. Inc..:.,.,.
Orient, N.Y. requesting a change of zone of certain property described
in said petition from "A" Residential- and Agricultural District ,;to
"B" Business District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:, .:That the Town Clerk of the Town '.of
Southold be and he hereby is directed to .transmit this application to
the Planning Board.-in accordance with Section 901, Subdivision C of
Article IX of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold.

WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in. the. office of Assessors of the Town of
Southold, Suffolk Connty, New. York, caused by the death of Raymond
Terry, Sr . ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That pursuant to' the authority vested
in the Town Board pursuant to the provisions of Section 64 of the
Town Law, that Edwin Fickeissen be and he hereby is appointed to the
office of Assessor of Southold to fill the vacancy existing in said
office and that such appointment shall take effect immediately and
that the said Edwin Fickeissen shall hold such office until January 1,
1963 .

RESOLVED: That the report of Supervisor Lester M. Albertson for the month
of November, 1962 be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file.

RESOLVED: That the report of AlbertsW. Richmond, Town Clerk. for the
month of November 1962 .be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file.

RESOLVED: That the Police report for the month of November 1962 be
accepted by the Town Board - and placed on file.

RESOLVED: That the report of Ralph P. Cox, Dog Warden, for the month of
November, 1962 be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file.

RESOLVED: That the report of Howard M. Terry, Building inspector, for
the month of November, 1962 be accepted by the Town Board and placed
on file.

RESOLVED: That ..Bond No. 73S-680BC, issued by ,the Aetna Casualty and
Surety Company in the name of Chester M. Dickerson in the sum of
$50, 000.00 be and the same is hereby approved as to its form, manner
of execution and sufficiency of sureties therein.

WHEREAS, Southold American -Legion G.T.G.Post #803 of Southold, N.Y.
applied to the Town Clerk for a Bingo License •Amendment and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after invest-
igation, duly made findings and determinations as required bylaw,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Board the findings
and determinations required by law and it is further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is (`:directed to issue
an Amended Bingo License to the Southold American Legion G.T.G Post #803 .

RESOLVED: That James C. Thurrott of Fishers Island, N.Y. be and he
hereby is- appointed dog enumerator for the Fishers Island area for the
year 1963.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Thomas Lacolla
to locate a single trailer on property of Joseph A. Lacolla Sr . , Arsh-
amomoque, Main Rd, New York, be and hereby is granted for year -round
occupancy for one year period.

Ave. , Southold, N.Y. be and hereby is granted for year round occupancy
for a one year period.

locate a single trailer on the property of Claude Wilson, Middle Rd. ,
Cutchogue, be and hereby is granted for year round occupancy for a one

Justice. Ralph W. Tuthill. gave a. report of the Justice School held at -
Fordham University.
A letter. was received .from Browers Woods: Association requesting :that the
Town Board meetings -be held at night. ,.
Mr. Robert Trubenbach ,talked on Civil, Defense and a possible shelter- in
Peconic. Supervisor Albertson appointed Councilman Grathwohl and::Justice
Clark to be on committee with him as a Committee to-.investigate the poss-
ibility of a Civil Defense Shelter at Peconic Highway properties,._Peconic.
Discussions included a :channel at .Fishers- Island and drainage:,in .the.
vicinity of Manhansett. Ave. , Greenport,. .N..Y.
