Albertson, at Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, Novem- ber. 21, 1962. The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M. • with. the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Supt. of Highways �Price;- Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by' Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meetings of November 7 and November 11, 1962 be and they hereby are duly approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson;' Councilmen Demarestta:nd Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED--,?:That the regular meeting of the Town Board will be held at ,,'the office of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, December 11, 1962 at 3:00 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the Supt. of Highways of the Town of -Southold be and he. hereby is authorized to advertise for bids and purchase from the lowest bidder 20, 000 lineal feet of standard snow fence. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Grathwohl; -seconded by Justice Clark;_ RESOLVED:.- That Ralph P. Cox of Mattituck and Raymond Hiller of Cutchogue be and hereby are appointed School Traffic Officers to direct traffic at3school crossings in the Town of Southold at a salary of $6.50 per day for each school day worked, they to serve at the pleasure of the Town Board; Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, Section 105 of the Town Law provides that the Supervisor and _ Justices shall account to the Town Board for all monies received and disbursed by the Supervisor and Justices on or after the 28th day of December but not later than the 31st day of December in each year,and WHEREAS, the Town Board deems it necessary to engage a public account- ant"'to'--prepare the aforesaid annual account for the Supervisor and Justices, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board engage the-services of Irving Miller, a public accountant, to make the annual audit of ,the books, records, receipts and other documents of the Supervisor and the Justices of the Town of Southold for the -fiscal year 1962. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; WHERECJS THE Board of Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District have heretofore advertised for bids for certain repairs to the airport, at Fishers -Is3md, New York, known as Elizabeth Field, caused by damage thereto by storms, and WHEREAS,'�'6uch bids were opened by said Commissioners and this Board has been advised that A. C. Construction Company of Fishers Island, New York, submitted a bid in the amount of $3, 289.00 which was the lowest bid submitted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District are hereby authorized to accept the aforesaid bid of A. C. Construction Company in the amount of $3.,-289.00 and-.that said Commissioners be and thy hereby are authorized to award a contract to A. C. Construction Co. for the performance of the Work of rep-airing said airfield, all in accordance with the plans and specifications on file with the Board of Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District. Rackett will have completed as. of December 16:1 1962, one and a half years of satisfactory service as Watchman for the Town of Southold, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. that Frederick .K. Rackett will be,- in-creased in. pay 50 cents per day . (from -$18.;00 to $18.50). _effective, as,,. .. of December 1962. The hearing on the Southold Town Ordinance regulating the Burning of Rubbish was opened by the Supervisor at 3:.30 P.M. as advertised accord- ing to law. Moved by Justice . Clark; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl; WHEREAS, Fishers Island Ferry District requests permission to advertise for bids and grant to the lowest bidder the contract to relocate. ramp and repair docks, and . WHEREAS, the Town Board prefers to examine the bids received before the contract is granted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That .the Fishers Island Ferry District be permitted to advertise for bids only.. Board desires to amend Article V of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold as hereinafter provided, . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that there be referred to the .Planning. Board for its official report-pursuant to Section 901 .of- the Building , Zone Ordinance the following proposed amendments:. 1. That Section 500 of Article V of the Building Zone Ordinance ..of- the Town of Southold be amended to read as ,follows: SECTION 500 - In the ., "C" .Industrial Districts, all buildings and premises may be used for any use except that the following uses may be permitted only as a special exception by the Board of Appeals, as hereinafter set . , 'forth: II. By amending Article V, Section 500, Subdivision 1 of- the .Building , Zone Ordinance to read as follows; 1. - Abattoirs 14 III. By amending Article V, Section 500, Subdivision 17 of_.said ordiance to read as follows: 17. . Garbage, offal or dead animals, reduction or dumping. IV. By amending Article V, Section 500, subdivision 34 of said ordinance to read as follows: 34. Stockyards or slaughter houses. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Grathwohl; RESOLVED: That the application of William Dittmer for a permit to locate a single trailer on property of Herman Dittmer, Mattituck, New York, be and hereby is denied and that the fee of $5 .00 which accompanied the application be returned. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl; RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to re- quest the Long Island Lighting Company to install ten (10) 100 cp overhead lights in Mattituck Light District #1 on the following poles: Two (2) - LIL CO. poles #9 and #12 - Bray Ave. , Mattituck N.Y. Four (4) NYT CO poles #15, 18, 21 and 23 - Bray Ave. , Mattituck NY One (1) LIL CO pole #365 - corner of Bray Avenue and Route 25, Mattituck, N. One (1) NYT CO pole #2 - Cihdy Lane, Deer Park, Mattituck, N.Y. Two .(2) NYT CO poles #1 and #3 - Pats Lane, Deer Park, MattituckV N.Y.
