Albertson, At Greenport, New York, on Tuesday, September 25, 1962. The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and Towri Clerk Richmond. .. Moyed, by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED:. That the minutes of the meetings of Sept. 18,. 1962 be and. they .,; hereby are duly approved. WHEREAS, a map and plans have been prepared, in such.,manner -and in such detail as has heretofore been determined by the Town- Board of the Town of Southold relating to the extension of the Cut"chogue . Lighting District in said Town, and . WHEREAS, such map or plan has been duly filed in the Town Clerk' s Office , in said Town; , and WHEREAS, said map or plan was prepared by Otto W. VanTuyl Son competent engineers and surveyors duly licensed by the State of New York, showing the boundaries of the proposed district; and WHEREAS, the boundaries. of the proposed 'district are as follows: BEGINNING at the northerly shore of Great Peconic Bay on the extension southerly of the center line of Linden Avenue, said .point being the southwesterly corner of the existing Cutchogue Lighting "District; , running ,thence .westerly along said shoreline a}pout 2700 feet to the center line of Hall' s Creek; thence northwesterly and then northerly along the center line of Hall's Creek to New Suffolk Avenue; thence westerly along New Suffolk Avenue to the westerly line of land of M. Krupski to the Main Road; thence northeasterly along the Main Road to the easterly "line of land of J. Krupski; thence southerly along the line between land of J. Krupski and land of M. Swiatocha on the west and land of E. Charnews . on the east to Leslie' s Road; thence northeasterly along Leslie ' s Road to land of Lucas Pontino; thence southerly along the line between lands of L.. Pontino and Anton Kull on the east and lands of C. Kujawski, P. Kujawski, Billard and luce and Penny on the west to Little Creek; thence generally southeasterly and then easterly along the center line of Little Creek to Little Peconic Bay; thence southerly along the easterly shore - of Nassau Point to Great Peconic Bay; thence generally northwesterly along the southwesterly shore of Nassau Point to Cutchogue Harbor; thence southwesterly along the shore of Cutchogue Harbor to Great Peconic Bay or North Race; thence generally westerly along the shore of Great Peconic Bay or North Race to the point of beginning. Within the above area is included all of the existing Cutchogue Light- ing District. Also this District is to include Robbins Island. WHEREAS, the improvements proposed are the installation and operation of, street lighting facilities on the public highways of said proposed district; and WHEREAS the proposed method of financing the cost of said improvement consists of assessments levied on benefited real property within said proposed District; and WHEREAS, the maximum amount proposed to be expended for said improvement is Two Thousand ($2, 000.00) Dollars; and WHEREAS said map or plan describing said improvement is on file in -the Town Clerk, s Office for public inspection, NOW, on motion of Councilman Demarest and seconded by Councilman Grathwohl, it is hereby ORDERED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold shall meet -and hold a public hearing at Village Hall in the Village of Greenport in said 'Town on the 16th day of October, 1962 at 7:30 P.M.on that day, to consider said map or plan and to hear all persons interested: in the subject thereof concerning the same, and to take such action thereon as is required or authorized by law. Vote of Town Board: Ages-Lester M. Albertson, Supervisor; Councilmen Louis M. Demarest and Corwin C. Grathwohl; Justices Ralph W. Tuthi-ll and Henry A. Clark. P.M. on that day, to consider said map or plan and to hear all persons inter- ested in -the subject thereof.-concerning the same, and to atake such action thereon as is required or authorized.by law. WHEREAS' a map and' plans have been prepared, in such manner and in such detail as has heretofore been determined by the Town Board of the Town of Southold r.elating to the extension of the Orient Lighting District in said .Town, and . 21 WHEREAS, such map or plan has been duly filed in the Town Clerk' s office in said Town; and WHEREAS said map or planF� was- pm'.•pared by Otto W: VanTuyl S Son, competent engineers and surveyors duly licensed by the State of New York, showing the boundaries of the proposed district; and WHEREAS the boundaries of the proposed district are as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the shore of Long Island Sound on the line between land of W. W. Stephenson on the East and land of Stephen`son's Beach, Inc. on-the West; running thence in a general northeasterly or easterly direction along Long Island Sound to Orient Point; thence in a general southwesterly direction along Gardiner6:t Bay to Long Beach Point; thence northeasterly and then northwesterly along Orient Harbor to a point about 2, 000 feet west- erly from the' foot of State Street; thence northerly through :lands of said Stephenson' s Beach, Inc. and across the Main Road and then Old Main Road to the southerly corner of land of said W. W. Steph- enson; thence northwesterly along the line between said land of W. W. Stephenson 'and land of Stephenson' s Beach, Inc. to the point of beginning.
