Albertson , at Greenport, New York, on Thursday, January 4, 1962 . The meeting was called to order at 3: 00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Lester Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the minutes of the Special Meeting of December 28, 1961, be and they hereby are duly approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Albertson; Councimen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the next regular monthly meeting of the Town Board will be held at the office of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson, at 16 South Street, GreenpBort, N.Y. on Thursday, January 11, 1962 at 3: 00 P.M. Albertson, Supervisor, be and he hereby is authorized to act as Public Welfare Officer at the pleasure of the Town Board, and. be it further RESOLVED: That Lester M. Terry be. and ,he hereby is appointed enforeement officer for both Multiple Residence and -the said Building Zone Ordinance for a term of one year, commencing Janaary 1,. 1962 and expiring December 31, .1962, and be it further RESOLVED: That the total salary for both positions be and hereby is fixed at the sum of $5, 800.00 per year, payable in regular monthly payments during said term, and be it further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk -be instructed to file such certificate with the proper parties as is required by Section .30, Subdivision 3_, of the Town Law. . Tuthill be designated as Alternate to cast' the vote of "said Town at "the annual meeting of the Association of 'Towns of - the State of New York to be held at Buffalo, New York, on February 144" 15 and 16, 1962 ih the absence of Supervisor Lester M. RESOLVED:-That Southold Town Officials who desire to attend the Annual meeting of the Association of Towns of the State of New York to be held in Buffalo, N.Y, on February 14, 15, and 16, 1962 be and they hereby are authorized to -'attend, and.;be .it further RESOLVED: That the necessary registration fees not in excess of $10.00 and all actual and necessary expenses of travel, meals and lodging incurred -'in connection with attendance at such meeting shall be a legal charge against the Town. Moved by Justice Clark;seconded by Councilman Grathwohl; WHEREAS, the Town Board has learned with deep sorrow of the death of Wayland Jefferson, the Historian of the Town of Southold, and ' WHEREAS, Wayland Jefferson has served the Town 'of Southold faithfully as Town Historian sin a flay 18', 1935, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That in recognition of the long and untiring service of Wayland Jefferson as Town Historian of the Town of Southold, the Town Board hereby expresses its sorrow at .: the loss of a good personal friefid as well as a valuable Town official, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That ..when the Town Board adjourns this day, it 1 do so out of respect to the memory of Wayland Jefferson, and I BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a copy of this resolution be made part of the official minutes of the Town Board of the Town of Southold and that a copy- of this resolution be transmitted to Mrs. Jefferson "that the Town Board may extend to her and the members of the family an expression of its sincere sympathy. Smith have made written application to the Town Board dated the 15th day of Nov. , 1961, to dedicate a certain highway at Indian Neck, Peconic, N.Y. Town of Southold, to be known as Robinson Lane, being more fully described in said petition, together with releases executed by the owners thereof, and WHEREAS, the Highway Supt. has inspected said highway and has advised the Town Board that said proposed highway complies in all respects to the specifications for the dedication of highways in the Town of Southold, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That in accordance with Section 171 of the Highway Law of the State of New York, consent be and the same is hereby given to the Supt. of Highways to make an order laying out the aforesaid Highway to consist of lands described in said application and shown on certain maps attached to said application, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authori- zed and directed to forthwith cause the dedication and release to be recorded in the office of the Clerk of County oEf Suffolk, New 'York, Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; ouncimen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
