The wooden bollards would vary in dimension but be similar to existing piles. The finished height would be 31- 0"with black plastic caps and reflectors on each post. The posts would be mounted 4'-0" below the ground surface acting a stable anchor. Please review pictures 1 thru 8. B.)Install varying low to medium height evergreen plantings (Juniper) between the bollard posts and the existing fence. The evergreens will be salt and deer tolerant. This would soften the appearance of the fence and bollards. Unfortunately during the past ten years the property owner has borne the annual expense of repairing approximately 120 lineal ft. of damaged fence. The original fence was installed with a set back dimension as an offer of good will, not required. The enclosed pietures, depict a deteriating respeet-for-private and public property. Garbage, refuse, litter are constant daily reminders of this lack of respect. Sadly.the damage is not being caused by local taxpayers, boaters, fisherman, or baymen, but by transients and young people not conforming to the hours of operation or for the ..ramp's intended use.We constantlyrlean.this area bEc nhances..our community character and is reflective of the surrounding neighborhood properties. , N Page 2 of 2 The request of items A& B will allow for both the increased security of our property and make the general appearance improvements consistent with the neighborhood and-town. - Thank you for your possible suggestions.
