Attending:Alexa, Chief Grattan, Shatina,Janet, Denis and Kate by phone.
2:OOpm start. Alexa said we will add Natalie next meeting.Janet suggested Social media is most
important not.
A conversation started about Social media being through one spot or from all departments direct. Chief
and Janet thought all in one site. Kate said ones operating should be grandfathered. Test out that
system. Alexa thought we should set up a universal page that has multiple admins.
Comments to be turned off. All agreed. We also need Liam to help with all this and look forward to a
meeting with him. Shatina is looking forward to this as a big help to them.
Policy is the first priority and Alexa said she will send around what is done already. Chief said they have a
policy set up.Janet said Facebook is the best thing for them as lately they had a class cancel and was able
to get word out that way. All agreed unified branding is important. Then department specific and like
Canva is drag and drop ready.
Kate thought a good training as well as a department head meeting is important and we need Liam to
update us on website proposals.
Alexa did the budget for this committee including Canva and a Secretary. Janet said we budgeted for a
one-time mailer for the Beach permits. We can bring this into what the committee is doing.
Kate brought up using zoom to record the minutes.
Alexa mentioned the community members we were looking for. Kate thought we should look for Bi-lingual
members.
Alexa said 2 months before Policy will be completed.Will go to board in Mid-October.
Chief said Bob Haas will be the rep to this committee from PD.
Next meeting, September 16t" 2PM
