Dear Mr. Roux:
This letter is a follow up to your email received on August 4, 2026, along with several
photographs. The Board of Trustees reviewed your request to prune a maple tree
within 100' of the wetlands on your property. The trees were reviewed and seen by
Trustee Nick Krupski on August 4, 2026.
The Board of Trustees determined that the maple tree may be pruned at this time. No
permit will be required in order to perform this work.
Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

Hi Thomas,
Thank you for taking my call this afternoon.
I am reaching out to your office for a permission letter allowing me to prune a large maple
tree in my backyard located at 450 Strohson Road in Cutchogue.
The job will consist of removing deadwood as well as general pruning to extend the life of
the tree.
Sound Side Landscaping will be hired to do the pruning and is cc'd here as well.
Attached please find 2 photos of the tree.
