This board will consist of (7)
residents of Southold town that
shall serve with no
compensation.

This board will 7 to 15 Town residents (unpaid). Town Board
members cannot serve on it. Members must include: 1 from
construction, 1 from real estate, 1 from banking, 3 from local
housing or human services groups, At least 1 resident from a
participating village. (§ 17-52) (64K)
The board only serves as an advisory capacity, ultimately
the Town Board will make the final decisions regarding
the community housing plan and any affordable housing
projects. (§ 17-52) (64K)
Make recommendations regarding the approval of capital
improvements.(§ 34-6B)
Government Liaison is responsible for upkeeping for
the housing registry. (§ 280-30D)
Bring the requests for capital improvements from people
living in affordable housing units. Ultimately the
Government Liaison provides the final approval (§ 34-6B)
