I am questioning the adaptive reuse funding onl,y being given for repurposing existing
buitdings. I am addressing the affordable housing needs of tocat famities that work and are
tryingto live and raise famities in the Southotd Community.
I am proposing to buitd a new apartment comptex which witl have three, 3-bedroom
affordabte units and three units that witt be rented at market vatue. The cost of new
construction with be substantiatty higher than that of a refurbishment project. Some of
costs for a new construction are foundations, new septic, drainage, driveways, fire
su ppression systems, etc.
Ptease reconsider this funding to be given for al.t affordable housing projects.
