After we walked the property, he marked the 100' setback line (approximately) for a residence. Later, after checking the aerial photo, he marked the 25' Coastal erosion line from the bluff and noted that the land from the 25' line to the 100' line could be cleared if desired. He also advised me that the area up to six to eight feet of the bluff could be cleared if a landscape plan were submitted and your Board's approval granted. Mr'. Bredemeyer also noted that since no wetlands are involved theTown could be the lead angency. In this way, I could get a non-jurisdictional letter from the D.E.C. thereby saving some time. Later he was kind enough to send me an aerial photo of the property showing both the bluff line and the 100' setback line. On October 19,1993, after I discovered that Mr. Bredemeyer was recuperating from illnes, I asked if I might speak to you so as not to disturb him. I did not wish to proceed without contacting you and the Board of Trustees regarding any permits that might be necessary. Jill indicated that her understanding was that the coastal erosion line is 50' from the bluff and suggested that I write you a letter to clarify the situation. I'd be happy to meet at any time that is convenient for you in order to obtain any permits that might be necessary. Thank you for your consideration. Zrely, I Louis A.
