- North Fork Sanitation will be dropping off the additional cans next week
ahead of the opening.

they need from last year.
- The 2026 P.A.S. has been made up and is ready for resident applications
to be entered.
Buildings and Grounds:
- Waiting on one additional quote for cameras and prices for fence repairs.
New DOL regulations have thrown most of the local contractors for a
loop. 1 t nu 7" b_- )n `+hC
- Water cooler died we will need to purchase a new one.
- Jen Murray is considering symbolic fencing, but due to the wood piles
creating a rat habitat that may be discouragin the plovers and least
turns from calling Trumans home.
- The crew will do one more beach cleanup before the start of the season
totaling our off-season beach cleanup numbers to three.
- Mowing and lot cleaning seems to be going well with Coastal. The
residents seem to appreciate and notice a difference.
- Additional Signage, we are working with Reflective Image on the
replacement of the "Lot Closed" 8v the "Passes and Permits Required"
signs as per board approval at the close of last season.
General:
Town Beach Closure. Since the town's main sound-faced bathing beach
is closed this season, we are enacting some changes for the summer. We
will be closely monitoring usage on off-peak days. On weekends, we may
have to limit access to stickers only (no guest passes). We will keep the
board apprised of any significant increase in use.
It appears that the Orient Harbor Fireworks will be held on June 27t
this year. I would like to have additional staffing that day. I will
coordinate with the Southold Town Police Department as usual.
Rosa Ruegosa, for the past two years residents have "harvested" flowers
from the bushes, this is leading to their demise. I am requesting
permission to purchase small signs stating that harvesting of the flower
is prohibited. if we fail to curb this behavior, we will see the complete
decimation of the plant at Trumans before next season. These plants are
necessary for stabilization of the beach. Without them Trumans could
see significant erosion and undermining. A reality Southold Town Beach
has become too familiar with.
We are anticipating increased "fishing"/camping this summer. I have
consulted with Southold Town Police, DEC, Turtleback, Southold Town,
and obviously the Mattituck Park District. We have already seen an
influx of"fishermen" not seen since Covid. This is a situation we have to
closely monitor.
Reminder if the Commissioner wish to have any additional hats, T-shirts
or sweatshirts, let me know now.
