At present, boat trailers, cars and trucks hauled by trailers already park partially on the street and partially on grass across the street from my driveway blocking access to and from driveway and garage. It causes safety problems getting onto West Creek Avenue. Cutchogue Harbor Marina does not have any large boat-storage area. It has 3 small separated areas connected only by West Creek Avenue. In 2 of these 3 areas a travelift could move large boats to water, but—ONLY BY USING THE PUBLIC STREET TO REACH THE LAUNCH PAD. The lift itself is noisy and will be clearly heard hundreds of yards away. The completely commercial nature of the lift and its activity, its noise pollution and unwanted traffic congestion make such machinery completely inappropriate and unwanted in this residential residential community. I respectfully request that the Town of Southold Board of Trustees deny this permit.
