The minutes from our February 25, 2026 meeting were approved.
This Regular Meeting of the Southold Town Tree Committee was called to order at 6:00 p.m.,
this meeting was held in person and via Zoom. —(there were no Zoom Attendees).
Gerard reminded those Committee members whose terms are expiring that their letters of
intent need to be sent to Town Clerk prior to the end of this month.
Gerard stressed the importance of scoping out potential tree planting spots sooner rather than
later so that it does not come down to the wire just before planting time. Frank suggested that
they pick a day when all are available to meet somewhere and then go out as a group to scour
areas around Town for potential plantings.
The recipients of the Arbor Day poster contest will be advised that they will be given their gift
certificates at the Town Board meeting which is to be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, location
to be determined due to closure of the main Town Hall meeting room.
Gerard,announced that in lieu of our regularly scheduled Committee meeting (April 15, 2026)
that the Committee will meet at Dave Cichanowicz's office where the seedlings are to be
delivered to put together all the Handouts for the participating schools.
This meeting was ADJOURNED at 7:10 p.m.
We will next meet on Wednesday, May 20, 2026
