A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the
office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp -at Greenport, on Monday,
Dec. 21, 1959. The meeting was called to order at 7: 30 P.M. with
the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson
and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and C1ark;, Supt. of Highways Price;
Town Attorney Masker and Town Clerk Booth.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark;
RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized to
sign the revised plans and specifications for the proposed
dredging operations in Gull Pond together with an agreement on
behalf of the Town of Southold assuring the County of Suffolk
sufficient easements .and spoil. areas in connection therewith
and also saving harmless the County of Suffolk from any. claims
and damages resulting from said dredging operations.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Pouncilmen Albertson
and Demarest; Juttices: Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
RESOLVED: That in accordance with Section 284 of the Highway
Law the agreement for the expenditure of Highway monies, made
by and between Harold Price, Town Superintendent of Highways,
dnd the Town Board for the year 1960 be and the same is hereby
approved by the Town Board, subject to the approval of the
County Superintendent of Highways.
Vote. of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson
and Demarest; Justices ,Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Councilman Demarest:
RESOLVED: That Justice Ralph W. Tuthill and Justice Henry A.
Clark .be and they hereby are appointed a committee. to look into
the possibility for Launching Ramps and ,to obtain estimates
on the 'construction of such.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson
and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
