MEET-ING .OF GEBRUARY 17, 1959
The Southold Town Board met .at the office. of Supervisor Norman
E. Klipp at Greenport,; on Tuesday, February 17, 1959.
The meeting was called to .order at 1:30 P.M. with .the following.
present: Supervisor Klipp; -Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; _
Justices Tuthill and Clark;. Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attor-..
ney 'Tasker and Town Clerk Booth.
Mrs: Edith Youngs, Mrs. Dittman and Mrs. Schutt appeared before
the Board with their- aptorney and-asked that the permit for a- ,
single trailer granted to F1Drence Buckingham by the Town Board
on January 6, 1959 be revoked on the grounds that the apllication
was„defective. .The Town Board. indicates that they will look
into the matter and render .a decision. .
The public hearing on the petition of VALENTINE RUCH 1V for. a
change of zone- from "A" REs,idential and Agricultural District
to "M" Multiple Residence. District was opened by the Supervisor
at 2: 00 P.M. . The minutes of, this hearing- were recorded by
. George T: Lederle. „
The Board sat as a committee on Audit to examine the claims
against the Town concluding the Audit work at 3: 00 P.M.
Moved by Justice CAark; seconded by Councilman Demarest:
RESOLVEDs That the miuntes of the meeting of January 20 and
February 2, be and hereby are duly approved as read.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson
and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by .Councilman Albertson:
RESOLVED: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board
will be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. kKlipp at
Greenpart on Tuesday, March 10, 1959, at 1:30 P.M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson
and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; .seconded by Justice Clark:
RESOLVED: That the report of Howard M. Terry, Building Inspector,
for the month of January be accepted by the Town Board and placed
on file.

and Demarest; Justices Tuthill,X and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Coucnilman Albertson:
WHEREAS, an application was received from EDWARD W. LATHAM' for
an Open Development Area under the provisions of Section 280A
of the Town Law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town
of Southold be and he hereby is dardcted to transmit this applic-
ation to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901, Sub-
division C of Article 1X of the Building Zone ordinance. of the
Town of Southold.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson
and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Justice ,Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Albertson;
WHEREAS, an application was received from DEANE K. FOX for
an Open Development Area under the provisions of Section 28OA
of -the 'Town Law,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town
of Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this
application to -the Plannigg Board in accordance tith Section
901 Subdivision C of Article 1X of the Building Zone Ordinance
of -the Town of Southold.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson'
and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: ,
RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $18,321.82;
Lighting Didtrict Bills in -the amount of $1707 .34; Fishers
Island Ferry District Bills in the amount of $9391.32, be and
the same are hereby ordered paid.

and Councilman Demarest; Justices Tuthill ad
Clark.
Moved by Councilman Albertson;seconded by Douncilman Demarest;
RESOLVED: That the Police Report dor the month -of January be
accepted by the Town Board and placed on file.
