In October, 2023, there were proposed architectural revisions to the second floor plan, which required adjustments to the proposed framing. Accordingly, GNCB issued revisions to the Permit Set on January 11, 2024. The revisions included re-support of existing hip beams, and reinforcement of the existing longitudinal ridge beam. On January 3, 2024, Roxanne L. Brown, GNCB, was on site with Harland Frazier, of BD Remodeling & Restoration (BD), the general contractor. The site visit was to view the progress of construction for the structural work of the dormer addition at the existing hip roof framing. BD provided GNCB with interim photos during the course of the construction phase as work progressed. Photos of the project work are included with this letter. It is my opinion that the framing work for the dormer addition and reinforcing work to the existing ridge and hip beams were constructed in substantial conformance with the Contract Documents, and in accordance with the structural requirements of the Building Code of New York State.
