Main Rd. &Youngs Ave.) Telephone: 631 765-1938 Southold, NY 11971 G LOCAL WATERFRONT REVITALIZATION PROGRAM TOWN OF SOUTHOLD To: Glenn Goldsmith, President Town of Southold Board of Trustees Cc: Honorable Lori Hulse, Attorney From: Heather Lanza, AICP, Planning Director LWRP Coordinator Date: April 13, 2026 Re: LWRP Coastal Consistency Review GREENFIELD REVOCABLE TRUST, SCTM# 1000-90.-1-24 This application is to replace 78' of Bay-front bulkheading, 127' of channel side bulkheading, and a 33' bulkhead return (±238 linear feet total) with new bulkheading using vinyl sheathing; within channel area perform minor reclamation dredging of less than 25 cubic yards to a max. 6' off bulkhead to a depth of 4' with material to be placed on-site; and to establish and perpetually maintain a 10' wide vegetated non-turf buffer along the landward side of the bulkhead. The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter §268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the proposed action is CONSISTENT with the policies of the LWRP as follows: Policy 6. Protect and restore the quality and function of the Town of Southold's ecosystem. 6.3. Protect and restore tidal and freshwater wetlands. A. Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements of the Southold Town Board of Trustees laws and regulations for all Andros Patent and other lands under their jurisdiction. D. Provide adequate buffers between wetlands and adjacent or nearby uses and activities in order to ensure protection of the wetland's character, quality, values, and functions. The proposed action consists of the in-kind replacement of an existing bulkhead that is in need of repair and conducting limited dredging of sand seaward of the bulkhead to in- fill behind the replaced structure. It appears that a portion of the fill that is to be dredged resulted from bulkhead failure and it is reasonable to recover this material to help acquire the necessary fill. The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter §268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. 2 Town of Southold MCKEOMCG© LNVRP CONSISTENCY ASSESSMENT FORM MAR 2 7 2076 A.
