Possible Town Incen?ves –

o Town to handle custodian needs
Commi?ee members for the Calendar ini?a?ve – Brent, George, Civic Member
Town Beau?fica?on –
Suggested that chambers lead the beau?fica?on efforts
It would be nice to have one consistent message to unify the township rather than have each town do something different. One
conceptual design and a plan that each hamlet can follow – it will make it easier to get funding and local support.
Could include the following organiza?ons:
Civics
Boy Scouts
Boces
Schools
Chambers and Bid
North Fork Promo?onal Council

Jack Malley’s notes
Synergy Summit 3 Summary October 15, 2025
Event Calendar
Poten?al Support/Funding – NF Promo?on Council
Could we use Coogle sheets as the main format
Lots of sources – Patch, Buzz, ST, Beacon, Sun, etc.
Who maintains, Interns?
Create Ac?on Plan – Maria McBride, Judy McCleery< Lisa Sannino, Brent Robertson
Need Town Board Support
Make sure our goals are in reach, take baby steps
Timing? We need a win soon!
Incubator
Space needed (Arcade men?oned, McCarthy building too). Infrastructure, funding
(Grant?), how to spread costs (membership dues, business sponsors, Chambers)
Foster entrepreneurship - Established businesses could be mentors.
Could there be flex space available, e.g., Peconic Landing. Big plus at PL is that residents
are many ?mes re?red business owners, execs and creators. Could use them in
Incubator regardless.
Libraries could support as possible launch pads to Incubator.
Could also be space for students. Guidance on available internships.
Town Beau?fica?on
Funding needed.
Fix entrances to town, e.g., train sta?ons, Laurel former informa?on center.
Have a consistent message about Southold. History, recrea?on, restaurants,
amusements, etc.
Most visitors use internet-based informa?on to learn about Southold.
Vision for the Town
Where do we want to be in 20+ years, a plan for the community (update to the Comp
Plan). A sugges?on to use strongtowns.org.
