Dear Sir or Madam:
I have visited the site during the course of the construction and have inspected and
reviewed the following work items:
1. Installed two new twelve (12) inch poured concrete post footings thirty-six(36)
inches deep
2. Removed old posts and replaced with new pressure treated 6 x 6 posts.
3. Removed existing staircase. Framed the existing opening and closed.
4. Relocated exterior door and installed new windows on south wall. All headers
were properly designed and installed.
5. Widening existing opening in an interior bearing wall and installed new header.
6. Added additional wall studs to create a sixteen(16) inch on center exterior wall
system.
7. Installed new headers over existing windows.
8. Installed new R-15 wall insulation and fire caulked all penetrations between
floors.

9. Installed new plywood sheathing, house wrap and siding on the exterior walls,

All work was completed in compliance with the approved plans and the 2020 NYS
Residential Building Code.

Dear Sir or Madam:
I have visited the site during the course of the construction and have inspected and
reviewed the following work items completed as part of a second-floor renovation
program:
1. Removed several non-bearing partition walls and replaced them with 2 x 4
partition walls and drywall and others with 2 x 6 studs and drywall.
2. Removed existing partition wall between south side bedroom and south side
bathroom replaced with 2 x 6 plumbing wall.
3. Replaced existing doors with new thirty(30)inch walls.
4. Replaced several headers in existing windows.
5. Added closet space to master bedroom
6. Added closets to two second floor bedrooms with six-foot wide sliding closet
doors.
7. Installed new headers over existing windows.
All work was completed in compliance with the approved plans and the 2020 NYS
Residential Building Code.

New Work
Below are additional work items for the permit.
I realized when performing the work approved in January 2024 (see below), that I
needed to remove 3 additional bead board partitions, and replace with a standard 2x4
wall construction. The room dimensions are essentially unchanged by the work (the
proposed standard wall framing reduces room dimension by —2-3 inches)
New Proposed Work additions are:
1. Remove bead board wall on west side of Bathroom 2 ( see before and after
diagrams)
2. Replace removed bead board with 2x6 framing and sheet rock. 2X6 is to
accommodate new sink plumbing
3. Remove bead board wall on north side of Bathroom 3 ( see before and after
diagrams).
4. Replace removed bead board with 2x4 framing and sheet rock.
5. Remove bead board wall on east side of Bedroom 2 ( see before and after
diagrams)
6. Replace removed bead board with 2x4 framing and sheet rock.

Below are amendments to the previously approved 2"'floor renovations.Included are 3 drawings,the
original 2"floor layout;the first approved revisons to 2'floor layout(Jan 2024), and,the current(and
final) layout(Nov. 2024).
The changes to the previously approved plan are (see drawing"Revision 2,Nov. 2024")
Note A: The closet size and location change: revised to 8'xT,with one 30": door. Previous revision it
was 21"x 15'with accordion doors.
Note B: Retain original window.The Jan 2024 revision removed the original window that opened into
the existing sun room space, in order to facilitate the closet proposed.This revision keeps the original
window location, since the closet layout leaves room for it.
Note C and Note D: The Jan 2024 revision showed new closets to be framed in the Sunroom and
Bedroom 1. These closets will not be built.
Note E: the Jan 2024 revision showed a corner shower in the bathroom.A rectangular shower was
installed, and a small closet framed at west end of shower enclosure. Plumbing rough in inspection for
shower was approved by building department in spring of 2024
