The Southold Town Board met at the offi.ce of Supervisor Norman E.
Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, October 28, 1958. The meeting was
called to order at 1:30 P.M.. with the following present: Supervisor
Klipp; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark;
Superintendent of Highways Price and Town Clerk Booth.,
Movvd- by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark:
RESOLVED: That the minutes of October 14 be and hereby are duly
approved as read.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes=Supervisor 'Klipp; Councilmen Albertson and
Demarest; Justices tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Justice Tbthlll; seconded by Councilman Albertson;
RESOLVED: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board will
be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport ,
on Thursdgy, November 6, 1958, at 1:30 .M.0

Demarest; Ju tices Tuthill and Clark.
Mr. Archibald N. Young came before the Town Board to present South-
old Town with two historic plaques, both mounted on black walnut
backgrounds and bronze plates engraved with historic data® This data
was furnished by Town Historian Wayland Jefferson. One plaque was
taken from the Mill Creek bridge and will be given in memory of
Highway Commissioner Osmon W. Young, Deceased. The other plaque was
taken from the Mattituck Creek bridge and will be given in memory
of. Town Superintendent of Highways George H. Fleet, Deceased.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: .That the Town Board does hereby accept these two plaques
and a vote of thanks be extended to Mr. Young and that they be placed
on the walls of the Southold Town Clerk Office Building as part of
Southold Towns Historic property.

Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the Board of the Town of
Southoldon behalf of Sunrise Coach Lines, Inc. for a bus franchise
within the Town, it is
RESOLVED: That a public hearing upon said application and to consider
the terms upon which such franchise should be granted be held by
the Town Board at Village Hall , Greenport, N.Y. on Monday, November
109 1958, at 7:00 P.M. and that notice of such public hearing be
given in accordance with the provisions of law pertaining thereto.

Demarest; Justices tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark:
WHEREAS, it has been requested by the Commissioners of the Fishers
Island Ferry District that a bare boat charter between the Interstate
Navigation Company and Fishers Island Ferry District be approved, and
U`HEREAS, the charter provides for the hire of the MV Quonset at
at rate of $500.00 for the first two days of the charter, and at
a rate of $200.00 per day for any additional days thereaftero now
therefore, be it
RESOLVED: That Norman E. Klipp, Supervisor, be and he hereby is
directed to approve the above-mentioned charter.

Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; secodded by Justice Tuthill:
WHEREAS, WINIFRED B. CLARK of Fishers Island has withdrawn her
application #46 for a changeof zone and
WHEREAS, WILLIAM H. SORENSON of Orient has withdrawn his application
#48 for a change of zone, and
WHEREAS, both parties have requested that the fee of $25.00 submitted
with the application be returned, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be, and he hereby is direct-
ed to return the fee of $25.00 to Winifred B. Clark and thb fee of
$25®00 to William H. Sorenson.

RESOLVtD: ..That proposed. amendment . to Building... Zone Ordinance to
be Section 1000A be transmitted to the Planning Board.

Moved by Justice Tuthill ; seconded by Justice Clark:
WHEREAS, a petition was heretofore filed with the Town Board of
the Town of Southold by CHARLES 0. ZIEGLER, requesting a change,
modification and amendment of the Building Zone Ordinance including
the Building Zone Maps made a part thereof by changing from 01A"
Residential and Agriculturla .District to "Ms' Multiple Resident
District the property described in said petition, and
WHEREAS, said petition was duly referred to the Planning Board for
its investigations recommendation and report, and its report having
been filed with the Town Board, and thereafrers a public hearing
in relation to said petition having been duly held by the Town Board ;%
on the 14th day of October, 1958, and due deliberation having been-'
had thereon
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the relief demanded in said
petition be, and it hereby is granted.

Moved, by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
WHEREAS, the County of Suffolk proposes to dredge certain areas
of Sterling Creek in the Town of Southold, which dredging will
be performed by County owned dredging equipment at a nominal cost
to the Town of Southold, and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish said dredgings planss specifications,
agreements and other documents must be executed on behalf of the
Town of Southold,
NOW$ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he
hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town of Southold,
all necessary plans and specifications$ spoil area agreements,
assurances to the County of Suffolks license and/or dredging permit
applications to Federal and State Agencies and all other documents
that may be required to accomplish said dredging work.

AMENDMENT NO. 22
NOTICE OF AMENDMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT NO. 22
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that after a public hearing held pursuant
to the requirements of law, the Building Zone Ordinance (including
the Building Zone Maps) of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County$
New York was duly amended at a regular meeting of the Southold Town
Board on October 289 1958, as follows:-
1. By changing from "All Residential and Agricultural District to
I'M" Multiple Residence District &he following described property:-
ALL that certain piece or parcel of land, situate at East Mariohg
in the Town of Southold$ County of Suffolk and State of New Yorks
bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the westerly line of Bay Avenues 50 feet
southerly along said line from the southeasterly corner of land
of Leonard G. Kranchers and running thence along the westerly line
of Bay Avenues south 34 degrees 12 minutes 40 seconds east 295 feet
to the shore of Marion. Lake; thence. in: a. general_ we.s.ter.ly direction
along the shore of Marion Lake 360 feet more or less to land of
Walter We Washburn; thence along last mentioned land two courses
as follows :
(1) North 10 de&reel 4.7 minutes 20. seconds east 70 f eet9 more or`
lessp to a point*50. feet southerly from the southerly line of said
land of Krancher, measured at right angles thereto; thence
(2) On a line parallel to and 50 feet southerly from the said
southerly line. of land of Krarichert measured at right angles
thereto, north 55 degrees 4.7 minutes 20 seconds east 206 feet
to the ,point of beginning.
