The installation manual for the Tesla Powerwall was reviewed for wall mounting considerations. Based on the weight of
the unit and the attachment layout of the mounting bracket, it was determined that the following fasteners should be used:
For mounting to walls with wood studs with the PW suspended above the ground:
4- 1/4 in. Wood Screws with a minimum embedment of 2.5"
In addition, the wall structure has been verified as sufficient to support the additional load imposed by the Tesla
PowerWall unit.
