Dear Ms. Kaplan:
This letter is a follow up to an email received on your behalf from Vincent Bencic on
January 13, 2026, along with several photographs. The Board of Trustees reviewed
your request to remove a tree near a shed on the eastern side of your property within
1 00' of the wetlands. The tree was reviewed and seen by Trustee Liz Gillooly on
January 25, 2026.
The Board of Trustees determined that the tree may be removed at this time. No permit
will be required in order to perform this work.
Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

Good Morning Tom,
This is ok for removal due to proximity to the shed. I recall that I did tell you I would follow up by email for tree
requests,which I failed to do. I am sorry.
Moving forward I would prefer to have tree requests printed in a folder in my mailbox so I can keep track of
what's needed from me. I performed this inspection within a week of the request and I feel terrible that
they've been waiting so long on me.

On behalf of the owner, Denise Kaplan, we are requesting a removal of a tree.The tree is close to esterrn
property line and approximately 90' from the water. It is on the north side of the existing shed which is
Located on the eastern part of the property.
The condition of the tree is very poor and has been trimmed significantly over the years. This past year,
due to many storms, the trees have lost many limbs.
It is approximately 30" in diameter at base, and is approx. 90' tall.
We believe that the tree has lived past its useful life and is in danger of falling on the shed, house or
adjacent property.Therefore, we are requesting its removal.
Please see enclosed photos of the area and the tree.
