This application is for a Ten (10) Year Maintenance Permit to hand-cut Common Reed
(Phragmites australis) to 12" in height by hand, as needed.
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency
Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization
Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP
Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records
available, it is my recommendation that the proposal is a MINOR ACTION pursuant to
Town Code §268-3 FF, and is not subject to review for LWRP consistency provided that
native wetland vegetative species are not affected or disturbed in any manner.
