Dear Mr. Klein:
This letter is a follow up to your email received on March 12, 2026, along with several
photographs. The Board of Trustees reviewed your request to prune trees on your
property within 100' of the wetlands. The tree was reviewed and seen by Trustee Glenn
Goldsmith on March 13, 2026.
The Board of Trustees determined that the trees may be pruned at this time. No permit
will be required in order to perform this work.
Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.
If you have any questions, please call our office at (631) 765-1892.
Sincerely,
Glenn Goldsmith, President
Board of Trustees

Good morning Tom,
It looks acceptable to prune the dead limbs on those trees as indicated.
I'm wondering if we could request before and after pictures from the same angles of the pruning to make sure
they don't go overboard with the cutting? That might be a Liz or Lori questions.
Thanks!
Glenn

Subject:Tree Pruning
Hi Thomas-Thanks so much for your time on the phone this morning and for confirmingthat we need a permit for repairing
the side patio but do not need a permit for fixing the front garden fence.
Regarding the tree pruning-The trees we'd like to prune in the back are pictured. In the first photo(facing east to creek)we'd
like to just do basic pruning of dead wood on the oaks, and in the second photo(facing west to house)basic pruningto oak on
the right and remove the snag on the left that is leaning.
We're planning on having the trees in the front pruned as well but per your suggestion I only included the trees in the back for
your review. We'd like to have the work done sometime in April, please let me know if there is anything else needed on my end.
Thanks so much,
Keith J Klein
