Dear Mr. Verity:
Pursuant to your direction I am submitting a letter outlining the work Ratsey
Construction is proposing to complete at 828 Front Street, Greenport as follows:
We propose to replace a total of(15) windows with new energy compliant Anderson
windows in-kind/in-place
FRONT & SIDE WINDOWS:
• The front pane of glass and glass in front door will not be replaced
• All other existing windows to be removed and replaced with new
• A minimal amount of siding will be replaced
• Tar paper will be installed on walls, ice& shield will be installed around windows
&new barn siding will be installed
• New soffits will be installed& aluminum edging will be installed on top
BACK WINDOWS:
• Existing windows will be taken out with the exception of glass in door to boiler
room
• Existing siding will be patched to match existing as best as possible
• All windows will be trimmed out on inside with colonial trim to match existing
trim
• Trim will be prepared for staining
No structural changes will be done to the existing building.
