SOUTHOLD TOWN PLANNING BOARD
January 4, 1974
A special meting of the Planning Board was held in conjunction
with a meeting called by County Executive John Klein of planning
boards of the five eastern towns on January 4, 1974 at Riverhead. The
special meeting was called to order by Chairman John Wickham at 3:00 p.m.
Present were Vice",Chairman Henry Moisa, Frank Coyle and Henry Raynor.
The subdivision Fairway Farms was discussed at some length. Upon
motion made by Frank Coyle, seconded by Henry Moisa, this subdivision
was granted final approval subject to the following conditions: receipt
of notice from the Town Clerk that the bond has been received;
presentation of maps of the subdivision corrected as to the legend on
the recreation area as outlined and required by this Board at the
meeting of December 27, 1973; presentation of legal instrument in
recordable form covering the responsibility of the lot owner for that
part of the "swale" outside the bounds of the highway (50 feet), also
outlined at the meeting of December 27, 1973; and finally the
satisfactory disposal of the pending court case against this subs
division in Justice Court of the Town. Mr. Coyle, Mr. Moisa and Mr.
Raynor voted in favor of the motion. The Chairman abstained being the
adjoining property owner and long5time friend of the developers.
Some discussion was held on securing someone to check maps as
presented in the office to ensure compliance with our regulations and
highway specifications.

It was also decided that we should proceed to study the growth
pattern and particularly the number of lots in approved subdivisions
which when added' to the presently "built upon" lots would give a total
existing plus approved figure. From this an existing plus approved
population total can be derived and finally the water consumption of
such a population should be measured against the supply available.
The meeting recessed to meet with Mr. Klein and reconvened
briefly to adjourn at 5:30 p.m.
