COMMITTEE MEETING
On Friday , January 21, 1983, at 2 : 30 PM, Trustees Stoutenburgh, Smith and
DiVello met with Councilman Fran Murphy, Bay Constable Tom Czelatka and
John Guldi of the Suffolk County Department of Public Works to discuss
dredging of the Creeks in Southold Town.
Richmond Creek - Given #1 priority and have permits. Will be going to bid
to be dredged this year, as this job is too big for the County' s small
dredge.
James Creek - Have permits and will be dredged this year using a small
dredge.
New Suffolk Ramp - Done every year. Will launch dredge there and job will
be done approximately April 1, 1983.
Corey Creek - .Permit being applied for. As soon as permit is obtained,
dredging will be done. Possibly this year, maybe next .
Brushes Creek - Inspected last year and found to be marginal - have to do
this year - have permits. '
Wickham Creek - Done in 1981 and 1982. Request amendment to permit to go
east .
Hall ' s Creek - As this has no public facilities and is used only by two or
three home owners, no promises made for this one.
Cedar Beach. - Done in 1981, not in 1982. Could be done with clamshell.
Possibly crane or bucket payloader to push spoils down beach. County feels
it should be stabilized wih jetties .
Gull Pond - If included in permit, can be done this year .with clamshell.
Otherwise - request permit.
Little Creek - Done 1982 - no problem
Mill Creek - Done 1981. If included in permit , can be done this year -
if not , request amendment to permit .
Jockey Creek - `"Fill have to be presented to dredging; screening committee
in order to be dredged further up the creek.
