Re: LWRP Coastal Consistency Review for 1055 SOUNDVIEW ROAD, LLC

Jonathan Foster on behalf of 1055 SOUNDVIEW ROAD, LLC requests a Wetland Permit
for the as-built reconstruction of existing bluff stairs consisting of a 7.6'x8.6' top platform
with two benches to 36" wide by ±28.1' long steps to beach. Located: 1055 Sound View
Road, Orient. SCTM# 1000-15-3-13
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter rfront Revitalization (stency Review of
Program (LWRP)
the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local
Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency
Assessment Form submitted to this depart I as the records w'th LWRP Policy 6 abld, therefore,
my recommendation that the action is INCONSISTENT
INCONSISTENT with the LWRP.
Policy 6. Protect and restore the quality and function of the Town of Southold
ecosystem
6.3 Protect and restore tidal and freshwater wetlands.
A. Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements of the Southold Town
Board of Trustees laws and regulations for all Andros Patent and other lands
under their jurisdiction
1. Comply with Trustee regulations and recommendations as set forth in
Trustee permit conditions.
a. The as-built structure was constructed without a Wetlands Permit.
It is recommended that the turf area be reduced and replaced with a native, drought-
tolerant vegetated buffer.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in
preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
