Dear Mr. Goldsmith:
Please accept this letter, along with the enclosed survey prepared by John C. Ehlers Land Surveyor, dated
September 9,2004;owner authorization forms;and check for$100 payable to the Southold Town Trustees as
a request for a pre-submission site inspection by the Trustees.
We would like to meet the Trustees on site to discuss the property owner's potential course of action for
obtaining the Board's permission to reconstruct a low-profile vinyl groin in place of a previously existing
timber groin that was recently removed without the benefit of a Town Wetlands Permit. With the exception
of a number of replacement piles that were installed when it was removed, the old groin is no longer present,
but the enclosed survey and below photograph document the historical location and length of the groin.
