Dear Mr. Cibulski:
This letter is a follow up to your email received on January 21, 2026, along with several
photographs. The Board of Trustees reviewed your request to limb deciduous trees on
your property within 100' of the wetlands. The trees were reviewed by Trustee Eric
Sepenoski on January 29, 2026.
The Board of Trustees determined that the deciduous trees may be limbed at this time.
No permit will be required in order to perform this work.
Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.
If you have any questions, please call our office at (631) 765-1892.
Sincerely,
r
Glenn Goldsmith, President
Board of Trustees

Hello Thomas,
For tax map 1000-17-6-5 in Orient the request is to limb some of the deciduous trees, leaving the evergreens
alone and trimming down some of the bushes just to open up some pocketed views to the water without
removing anything in the ground. Not looking to create an erosion issue or hack the plantings to alter the
coastal natural aesthetic of the greenery.
This property is owned by Christine Van Cleef who owns waterfront land and is now looking to develop it they
just want to maintain the view.
