Description
Project to replace Pre-Existing Timber Bridge Deck and Concrete Abutments damaged by
Hurricane Sandy. This Bridge system is the only Public access to Town Owned Parkland.
The Existing Asphalt Road End & Parking Area is to be Reconstructed to meet the minimum
requirements of Town Highway Specifications. Provide new Guard Rail to replace existing
Guard Rail damaged by storm. Remove Storm related Debris.
PROJECT ESTIMATE: Repair to Pre-Storm Conditions
• Engineering – Coordination of DEC Permit - Permit Pending
35 Hours @ $ 75.00 / Hr. = $ 2,625.00
• Removal & Disposal of Concrete, Asphalt & Bridge Timber Debris. = $ 8,000.00
• Reconstruct Concrete Abutment to match pre-existing structure = $ 18,000.00
Item to include 3- 12” Diameter Piles @ 20 L.F.
with 24” Thick Concrete Pile Cap and Foundation
• Reconstruct Timber Bridge Deck to meet DEC Regulations = $ 15,000.00
• Saw Cutting Asphalt – 50L.F. @ $ 10.00 / L.F. = $ 500.00
• Construct New Timber Guard Rail System
30 L.F. x $ 50 / L.F. = $ 1,500.00
• Stone Rip Rap - 50 Ton @ $ 39 / Ton = $ 1,950.00
• Filter Cloth – 1 Roll @ $ 800 / Roll = $ 800.00
• 3/4" Blue Stone Blend – 50 C.Y. @ $ 40.00 / C.Y. = $ 2,000.00
• New Asphalt – 50 Tons @ $ 75.00 / Ton = $ 3,750.00
• Beach Grass Plantings - 2,000 Plants @ $ 0.20 / Plant = $ 400.00

Ramp / Walkway Piling – 10 @ $ 500 = $ 5,000
