RESOLUTION #01,15.2026,2 CTM#R1 000-25-4-4, '11,180 Navy Strelet, 06 ent S E Owner: Hugh and Leah McBride RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, 1180 Navy Street, Orient, NY, is on the Town of Southold Registry of Historic Landmarks; and WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 170-6 of the Town Law(Landmarks Preservation Code)of the Town of Southold, all proposals for material change/alteration must be reviewed and granted a Certificate of Appropriateness by the Southold Town Historic Preservation Commission prior to the issuance of a Building Permit; and WHEREAS, the applicant submitted a proposal on December 30, 2025, for an approval to install a generator located in the side yard surrounded by an existing solid wood privacy pool fence and proposed entry gate; and WHEREAS, the applicant's representative, Meryl Kramer, Registered Architect, appeared before the Commission at a Work Session on January 15, 2026 to describe the proposed installation of the generator and entry gate; and t WHEREAS, the proposed improvements are depicted and described in the Site Plan(Sheet A-002) dated October 14,2025,prepared by Meryl Kramer,and Landscape Site Plan, (Sheet I of 1),dated December 22, 2025 prepared by Marshal Paetzel, Landscape Architect; and WHEREAS, the Commission has determined that pursuant to Chapter 170-4(E)(2) of the Southold Town Code, the Commission has the authority to determine that some proposals do not rise to the level of requiring a public hearing, as the proposal is de minimis in nature; and WHEREAS, the Commission has determined that the subject application for the Certificate of Appropriateness is de minimis in nature and therefore does not require a Public Hearing; and VIVIu Certificate of Appropriateness,Res.#0 1.15.2026.2 HPC, 1180 Navy Street,Orient McBride, SCTM No. 1000-25-4-4 Page 2 WHEREAS,the app licant shall submit to the Commissioners photographs of the finished improvements upon completion; and WHEREAS, the Commissioners may conduct a site inspection of subject premises once improvements are completed; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Southold Town Historic Preservation Commission determines that the proposed improvements that include a generator and entry gate depicted i I ,.n, (Sheet A-002) dated Octoba '14, 2025, re tired Meryl and described in the *te S, Pla ber 22, 2025 prepared by, Kramer, and Landscape Site Plaln', (Sheet I of 1), dated Decetn M h L,andscape Arch'i"tect, Meets,the criteria for a� prioval under Seetton 11,70-8, ars" al Paetzell,, p (A) of the Southold Town Code; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Commission approves the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness, subject to approvals by all involved agencies; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that any deviation from the approved plans referenced above may require further review from the Commission.
