Winter 2026 Recreation Programs
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold authorizes and directs
Supervisor Albert J. Krupski Jr.,to execute an agreement with the following individuals
and businesses for the Winter 2026 Recreation programs, all in accordance with the

St. Patrick's Day Parade in Cutchogue
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby grants permission to
The North Fork Chamber of Commerce and the Cutchogue Fire Department to use the
following route: staging on Eugene's Road and begin at Cox Lane, west on the Main Road
to Cases Lane, ending at the Village Green for its 16th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in
Cutchogue, on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 beginning at 1:00 PM,provided they adhere to
all the conditions in the Town's Policy for Special Events on Town Properties. No objects
of any kind shall be thrown to event spectators. All fees, except the clean-up deposit, shall
be waived.

Approve Resolution Number 2026-003
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby ratifies and approves
Resolution Number 2026-003 of the Fishers Island Ferry District, adopted January 6, 2026,
which reads as follows:
WHEREAS the Fishers Island Ferry District policy as described in the Employee
Handbook grants a 3% longevity increase to wages when an individual has been employed
by the Fishers Island Ferry District for five years; and,
It is further RESOLVED that, with effect November 19, 2025, employee 83357 base pay be
increased by 3%.

Committee.

§71-1.Purpose
The purpose of this Agricultural Advisory Committee is to:
A. Recognize the importance of agriculture,including aquaculture and mariculture
operations, and its industry as both a vital economic driver of the local economy and a
mode of land use that provides the Town of Southold with both its rural and rustic
character and maritime culture.
C. Provide for the most beneficial relationship between the use of town
waterways, lands, buildings, aquacultural and agricultural practices and to further
encourage the wise use and management of the natural resources within the Town.
D. Provide the Town Board,Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and other
relevant Town boards and committees with a conduit for recommendations from the Town's
agricultural and aquacultural industries on the short and long term impacts of a variety of
matters and questions considered by these groups.
§71-3. Composition; membership; terms of office; removal.
A. The Committee shall be composed of up to eleven members appointed by the
Town Board. All members must berme areresidents and aeti e ewner-4opei:ato-s of ben
Sout-liekl.satisfy at least one of the following criteria:
(1) Up to seven (7) members shall be active owners or operators of bona fide land-
based agricultural farm operations within the Town of Southold.

(3) Up to two (2) members shall be otherwise qualified to represent the interests of
these industries, as determined by the Town Board.
§71-4.Powers and duties.
The Agricultural Advisory Committee shall:

If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or part of this Local Law shall be adjudged by
any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the judgment shall not affect the validity
of this law as a whole or any part thereof other than the part so decided to be
unconstitutional or invalid.
IV. EFFECTIVE DATE
This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State as
provided by law.

Enact Local Law- Chapter 280, Zoning
WHEREAS, there was presented to the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk
County, New York, on the 2nd day of December 2025, a Local Law entitled "A Local Law
in relation to Amendments to Chapters 280" and
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold held a public hearing on the
aforesaid Local Law at a which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be
heard, now therefor be it
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby Enacts the proposed
Local Law entitled, "A Local Law in relation to Amendments to Chapter 280"reads as
follows:
LOCAL LAW NO. -2026
BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:
I. Purpose.
The purpose of this local law is to address issues concerning the maximum size of one
and two family dwellings in certain zoning districts consistent with the Southold Town
Comprehensive Plan adopted September 8, 2020, the Vision Statement of which calls for
future planning within the Town to be consistent with existing community character and a
periodic review and amendment of the Town Code to that end.
The Town Board because of objectives outlined in the plan, especially Chapter 3 Land Use
and Zoning, finds it necessary to modify the code that established standards for the
construction and reconstruction of residential dwellings in certain zoning districts to modify
the requirements concerning the use of GFA.
IL Chapter 280 of the Code of the Town of Southold is hereby amended to include the
underlined words and remove the struck-through words as follows:
§ 280-207. Maximum gross floor area for residential dwellings in A-C, R-40, R-80,
R-120, R-200, and R-400 Districts
(2) In determining the maximum permitted gross floor area, the
following provisions shall apply:
(c) The new construction,reconstruction or improvement of any
dwelling shall be limited by the standards established by this code, or by
variance not to exceed the average GFA of dwellings i the ; ri,,,d;.,+�
area as determined by the Zoning Board of Appeals.
III. SEVERABILITY
