St. Patrick's Day Parade in Cutchogue
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby grants permission to The
North Fork Chamber of Commerce and the Cutchogue Fire Department to use the following
route: staging on Eugene's Road and begin at Cox Lane, west on the Main Road to Cases Lane,
ending at the Village Green for its 16th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Cutchogue, on
Saturday, March 14th, 2026 beginning at 1:00 PM, provided they adhere to all the conditions in
the Town's Policy for Special Events on Town Properties. No objects of any kind shall be
thrown to event spectators. All fees, except the clean-up deposit, shall be waived.

Resolution Number 2026-003 of the Fishers Island Ferry District, adopted January 6, 2026,
which reads as follows:
WHEREAS the Fishers Island Ferry District policy as described in the Employee Handbook
grants a 3% longevity increase to wages when an individual has been employed by the Fishers
Island Ferry District for five years; and,
It is further RESOLVED that, with effect November 19, 2025, employee 83357 base pay be
increased by 3%.

Town of Southold to assist the Town of Southold in providing services to elderly residents of
Suffolk County, from the date the vehicle is delivered to the Town of Southold until December
31, 2030, with an option, to be exercised at the County's discretion, for one (1) or more
successive periods not in excess of five (5) years per extension, on the same terms and
conditions as identified in Agreement No. 525-CAP-CAP-1749.534-2030-5, at no cost to the

BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:
I. Purpose. The Purpose of the amendment is to amend Chapter 71 Agricultural Advisory
Committee.
IL Amendment- The Southold Town Code is hereby amended by removing the struck
through words and adding the underlined words as follows:
§ 71-1.Purpose
The purpose of this Agricultural Advisory Committee is to:
A. Recognize the importance of agriculture,including aquaculture and mariculture
operations, and its industry as both a vital economic driver of the local economy and a mode of
land use that provides the Town of Southold with both its rural and rustic character and
maritime culture.
C. Provide for the most beneficial relationship between the use of town waterways, lands,
buildings, aquacultural and agricultural practices and to further encourage the wise use and
management of the natural resources within the Town.
D. Provide the Town Board, Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and other relevant
Town boards and committees with a conduit for recommendations from the Town's
agricultural and aquacultural industries on the short and long term impacts of a variety of
matters and questions considered by these groups.
§ 71-3.Composition; membership; terms of office; removal.
A. The Committee shall be composed of up to eleven niii+e—members appointed by the Town
Board. All members must bewhe fe residents and
agr4eulPdr-al or-a"aetiftur-e,Lmafieu!Wr-e farm oper-ations within the Tow*of .satisfy at
least one of the following criteria:
(1) Up to seven (7) members shall be active owners or operators of bona fide land-
based agricultural farm operations within the Town of Southold.
(2) Up to two (2) members shall be residents with substantial and proven experience in
the agricultural or aquacultural/maricultural industry.
(3) Up to two (2) members shall be otherwise qualified to represent the interests of
these industries, as determined by the Town Board.

The Agricultural Advisory Committee shall:

RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby Enacts the proposed Local
Law entitled, "A Local Law in relation to Amendments to Chapter 280"reads as follows:
LOCAL LAW NO. -2026
BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:
L Purpose.
The purpose of this local law is to address issues concerning the maximum size of one and
two family dwellings in certain zoning districts consistent with the Southold Town
Comprehensive Plan adopted September 8, 2020, the Vision Statement of which calls for future
planning within the Town to be consistent with existing community character and a periodic

review and amendment of the Town Code to that end.
The Town Board because of objectives outlined in the plan, especially Chapter 3 Land Use and
Zoning, finds it necessary to modify the code that established standards for the construction and
reconstruction of residential dwellings in certain zoning districts to modify the requirements
concerning the use of GFA.
IL Chapter 280 of the Code of the Town of Southold is hereby amended to include the
underlined words and remove the struck-through words as follows:
§ 280-207. Maximum gross floor area for residential dwellings in A-C, R-40, R-80, R-
120, R-200, and R-400 Districts
(2) In determining the maximum permitted gross floor area, the following
provisions shall apply:
(c) The new construction, reconstruction or improvement of any dwelling
shall be limited by the standards established by this code, or by variance not
exceed the aver-age GF,. of dwellings in the immediate area as determined
by the Zoning Board of Appeals.
ITT. SEVERABTLITY

Application Process for Committee Appointments/Renewals
The following procedure outlines the steps for individuals seeking either a new appointment
or the renewal of an existing appointment to a Southold Town committee.
1. Appointment Schedule
Committee appointments are generally made during a Town Board meeting held in March.
Appointments may also occur at other times of the year as vacancies arise.
2. Submission of Application Materials
Both new applicants and current members seeking reappointments must submit a letter of
interest and current resume to the Town Clerk's Office. The letter must identify the specific
committee for which the applicant is seeking appointment and should include:
• A statement of interest in serving
• Relevant background, qualifications, or expertise
• Any prior experience attending committee meetings or participating in related
community initiatives
Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend a committee meeting in advance to gain an
understanding of the committee's responsibilities, anticipated time commitments, and overall
scope of work.
3. Review and Interview Process
Applications will be reviewed to determine alignment with the committee's current goals and
needs. If an applicant's qualifications are deemed appropriate, the Town Board Liaison or
Committee Chair will contact the applicant to discuss their interest and schedule an interview.
4. Notification of Appointment and Required Oath
• Applicants selected for appointment will receive an email from the Town Clerk's Office
outlining the steps required to complete the required Oath of Office.
• Applicants not selected will receive an email acknowledging their interest and thanking
them for applying. Their resume will be retained on file through the following March for
potential consideration should additional vacancies arise.

WHEREAS, the five Town's, East Hampton, Southampton, Southold, Shelter Island and
Riverhead, have received,reviewed, and agreed on a proposal submitted by Mary C. Wilson to
represent the five towns in a regional counsel capacity; and now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Town Board accepts the proposal dated January 5, 2026 from Mary C.
Wilson, Esq., in recognition of her 25 years of experience managing, administering and
interpreting Town Law 64-e; and be it further
RESOLVED, this position is on an as-needed basis at an hourly rate of$400 per hour, to be
apportioned between the five Towns consistent with Schedule A of the Inter-Municipal
Agreement for the Establishment of the Office of Regional Community Preservation Fund
Counsel and the Peconic Bay Region Advisory Committee; and be it further
RESOLVED, the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby appoints Mary C. Wilson as
regional counsel; and be it further
RESOLVED, that Mary C. Wilson shall be paid for the above-outlined services for the Town's
portion of each invoice consistent with Schedule A of the Inter-Municipal Agreement for the

ADOPTED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD ON
JANUARY 13, 2026:
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes and directs the
Town Clerk to advertise for two (2) weeks for Traffic Control Officers for the 2026 summer
season at the hourly wage of$19.88 per hour. Applicants must possess a High School Diploma
and a valid NYS Drivers License. Advertisement for position also to be posted on the Police
Department's social media page.
Applications must be received by Friday, April 10, 2026.

ADOPTED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD ON
JANUARY 13, 2026:
WHEREAS there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk
County, New York, on the 13th day of January, 2026, a Local Law entitled"A Local Law in
relation to an Amendment to Chanter 71 Agricultural Advisory Committee," and now
therefor be it
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold will hold a public hearing on the
aforesaid Local Law at Southold Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New York, on
the 24th day of February, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at which time all interested persons will be given
an opportunity to be heard.
The proposed Local Law entitled, "A Local Law in relation to an Amendment to Chanter 71
Agricultural Advisory Committee,"which reads as follows:
LOCAL LAW NO. 2026
A Local Law entitled, "A Local Law in relation to an Amendment to Chapter 71
Agricultural Advisory Committee,"
BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:
I. Purpose. The Purpose of the amendment is to amend Chapter 71 Agricultural Advisory
Committee.
II. Amendment-The Southold Town Code is hereby amended by removing the struck through
words and adding the underlined words as follows:

§71-1.Purpose
The purpose of this Agricultural Advisory Committee is to:
A. Recognize the importance of agriculture, including aquaculture and mariculture
operations, and its industry as both a vital economic driver of the local economy and a mode of
land use that provides the Town of Southold with both its rural and rustic character and
maritime culture.
C. Provide for the most beneficial relationship between the use of town waterways, lands,
buildings, aquacultural and agricultural practices and to further encourage the wise use and
management of the natural resources within the Town.
D. Provide the Town Board,Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and other relevant
Town boards and committees with a conduit for recommendations from the Town's
agricultural and aquacultural industries on the short and long term impacts of a variety of
matters and questions considered by these groups.
§71-3. Composition; membership; terms of office; removal.
A. The Committee shall be composed of up to eleven members appointed by the Town
Board. All members must bewhe afe residents and Of bEffla fide
satisfy at
least one of the following criteria:
(1) Up to seven (7) members shall be active owners or operators of bona fide land-based
agricultural farm operations within the Town of Southold.
(2) Up to two (2) members shall be residents with substantial and proven experience in
the agricultural or aquacultural/maricultural industry.
(3) Up to two (2) members shall be otherwise qualified to represent the interests of these
industries, as determined by the Town Board.
§71-4.Powers and duties.
The Agricultural Advisory Committee shall:
B. Review and report Committee's recommendations to the Town Board and the Planning Board
as to changes in policy and rules, including but not limited to proposing revisions to the Town
Code of the Town of Southold, which revisions will enhance, but not detract from, the economic
viability of the agricultural, including aquaculture and mariculture operations and industries
in the Town of Southold.
E. Review local, county, state, and federal legislation affecting the agricultural including
aquaculture and mariculture operations and industries and report their effect to the Town
Board.

III. SEVERABILITY
If any clause, sentence,paragraph, section, or part of this Local Law shall be adjudged by any
court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the judgment shall not affect the validity of this law
as a whole or any part thereof other than the part so decided to be unconstitutional or invalid.
IV. EFFECTIVE DATE
This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State as provided
by law.

New York, on the 2nd day of December 2025, a Local Law entitled"A Local Law in relation to
Amendments to Chapters 280" and
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold held a public hearing on the
aforesaid Local Law at a which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be
heard,now therefor be it
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby Enacts the proposed Local
Law entitled, "A Local Law in relation to Amendments to Chapter 280"reads as follows:
LOCAL LAW NO. -2026
BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows:
I. Purpose.
The purpose of this local law is to address issues concerning the maximum size of one and two
family dwellings in certain zoning districts consistent with the Southold Town Comprehensive
Plan adopted September 8, 2020, the Vision Statement of which calls for future planning within
the Town to be consistent with existing community character and a periodic review and
amendment of the Town Code to that end.
The Town Board because of objectives outlined in the plan, especially Chapter 3 Land Use and
Zoning, finds it necessary to modify the code that established standards for the construction and
reconstruction of residential dwellings in certain zoning districts to modify the requirements
concerning the use of GFA.
II. Chapter 280 of the Code of the Town of Southold is hereby amended to include the

underlined words and remove the struck-through words as follows:
§ 280-207. Maximum gross floor area for residential dwellings in A-C, R-40, R-80, R-
120, R-200, and R-400 Districts
(2) In determining the maximum permitted gross floor area, the following
provisions shall apply:
(c) The new construction,reconstruction or improvement of any dwelling
shall be limited by the standards established by this code, or by variance not to
exeeed the average GFA of dwellings in the immediate area as determined by
the Zoning Board of Appeals.
III. SEVERABILITY
If any clause, sentence,paragraph, section, or part of this Local Law shall be adjudged by any
court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the judgment shall not affect the validity of this law
