Hobson, Thomas From: Mark P. Bridgen <mpb27@cornell.edu> Sent: Tuesday,August 12, 2025 11:39 AM To: Hobson, Thomas Cc: Mark P. Bridgen Subject: Permission to prune a tree next to a pond Attachments: Tree by pond 12Aug2025 jpg Good morning Tom, Thank you for your help this morning. As I mentioned, we would like to have a large branch removed from a tree that is close to a fresh water, kettle pond at the end of our property. The attached photo shows the large, contorted branch next to the pond. We want to have it cut back to the large "knuckle" of the tree because if it falls off, it will hit the curly willow tree that is growing. beneath it. You can see the willow in the photo. This large tree is in decline and large branches occasionally fall off; we want to get ahead of this before it falls. The tree is located at 665 Northfield Lane, Southold: We normally get Shamrock to do our arborist work. Let me know if you have any questions, and thank you!
