The meeting was called to order with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albert- son and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Supt . of, Highwgys Price ; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Booth. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the minutes of April 8th and April 14th be and hereby are duly approved as read. Vote of Town Board: . .Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen A lbertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That the regular monthly Audit meeting of this Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, May 6, 1958, at 1:30 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Councilman Demarest: RESOLVED: That a fee of Five Dollars (65.00) be assessed and must accompany an application for a permit for a single automobile T1lailer or House car outside of a Tourist Camp in the Town of Southold. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; `'ouncilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the application of Joseph Polywoda , Bay View Road, Southold, N.Y. . to locate a single automobile trailer on the property owned by his Mother be and hereby is granted. Vote of Town Board, Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Outhill; seconded by Justice Clark: .RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be and he hereby is authorized to advertise for pr.oposald to paint the exterior of the Town Building located on the northerly side of the Main Road in Southold. Klipp be and he hereby is authorized to purchase from Littlefield-Alger Signal Co. one new 4-way Beacon with 8" red lenses and equipment , installed at the intersection of New Suffolk Road and Fifth Street at New Suffolk, for a sum of Two Hundred Ninety seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($297. 50) . Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: WHEREAS , the Civil Defense Director is making arrangments to move the Races Base Station from the Supervisor ' Office to Police Headquarters at Peconic , and WHEREAS , in order to insure proper transmission and reception it will be necessary to place the antenna on a wooden pole 60 to .90 feet high 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be ana he hereby is authorized to grant permission to the Civil Defense Director to place a 60 to 90 feet pole on Town property at Police Headquarters ,Peconic . Ziegler relative to change of' zone , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of 6 outh.old be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901, Subdivision C of Article 1X of the Building Ordinance. Bendicksen relative to changeof zone ; NOW, , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901 , Subdivision C of Article 11 of the Building Zone Ordinance. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That all legal advertisements relative to the Building Zone Ordinance matters pertaining to Fishers Island be publicized once in the New London Day in addition to legal notices published in the Long Island Traveler-Mattituck Watchman. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That all five new Police automobiles be lettered alike to read Southold Town Police. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Albertson: RESOLVED: That four new Police Automobiles be lettered to read Southold Town Police and one new Police Automobile be left unlettered. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen.Albe_-tson and Demarest; Justice Tuthill. Noes : Justice Clark. The public hearing was opened at 2:00 P.M. on the proposals to amend the Building Zone Ordinance relative to change of zone from "A" Residential and Agricultural District .to 11B" Business District on two parcels of real property situate at Cutchogue. The minutes of this hearing were recorded by George T. Lederle. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS ,,a petition was heretofore filed with the Town Board of the Town of outhold by Constance Kendrick Overton .requesting a change, modification and amendment of the Building Zone Ordinance including the Building Zone. Maps made a part thereof by changing from "A" Residential and Agricultural District to nB" Business District the property described in said petition, and WHEREAS , said petition was duly referred to the. Planning Board for its investigation, recommendation and report , and its report having been filed with the Town Board, and thereafter, a public hearing in relation to said petition having been duly held by the Town Board on the 29th day of April, 1958, and due deliberation having been had thereon NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the relief demanded in said petitio n be , and hereby is granted.
