MEETING OF DEC EMBER 3,� 19517, Th'e Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, December 3, 1957. The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Council- man Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest; Supt. of Highways Price and Town .Attorney Terry. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the minutes of November 26, be and hereby are duly approved as read. Rosenbe&, to amend the Building Zone ordinance of the Town of-- .Southold;"uffolk County, New York, by changing from "A" REsidential and . . ,Agricultural District to "B" Business District, certain real property her.einafter described and, whereas , the Town Board, after due consideration of the matter, decided it was in the public interest to call a hearing pursuant to the provisions of the Town Law in said ordinance and whereas -"- such hearing was held (Pursuant to notice duly given) at a meeting of the Town Board, at the office of the Supervisor, 16 South Street , Greenport, New York, on November 25, 1957 at 7:00 P..M. at which time all persons de- siring to be heard in favor of said amendment and also all those desiring to be heard in opposition thereto, were given opportunity and were heard and thereafter the public hearing wqs closed and decision reserved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: by the the ToWn Board of the Town of Southold, that the Building Zone Ordinance (including the Building Zone Maps) of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, be amended,. by changing from "A" Residential and Agricultural District to "Bt0 Business District, the following described property: -52 4 PARCEL l: ALL that tract ob parcel of land situate , lying sand being at Greenport, in the Town of Southold, County of Suffolk, and State of New York, bounded and described as follows: BEGINNING at a point on the southerly line of Champlin Plao-e 100.11 feet easterly along the said southerly line .from the easterly line of Atlantic Avenue and running thence along the southerly line of Champlin Place north 69 degrees 42 minutes east 348.37 feet to land of Preston and Chapman and a proposed highway to be known as Robinson Road; thence southerly along the westerly line of said proposed highway 75 feet;, thence along other land of Preston and Chapman 195 feet more or less to the ordinary high water mark of Sterling Basin; thence along the ordinary high water mark of Sterling northwesterly about 45 feet; thence westerly about 70 feet; thence south- erly about 150 feet to the northerly line of Bridge Street; thence along the northerly line of Bridge Street south 73 degrees 46 minutes , 40 seconds west 40 feet more or less to land of Ormond; thence along land of Ormond, Klipp and others north 17 degrees 33 minutes 20 seconds west 227.29 feet to the point or place of beginning. Pole)- and-#745 (NY Telephone Co. Pole) on Route 25, Southold, NLY. and also that light on Pole #358 be replaced with 1000 cp. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest: WHEREAS , Helen Cochran has made application to the Town Board for the establishment of an open developement area pursuant to the provisions of Section 280-A of the Town Law, and WHEREAS , the Town Board has heretofore referred the matter to the Plan- ning Board for its advice and WHEREAS , the Planning Board has recommended that the application of . HeleRL Cochran be granted, NOW,, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of Southold does hereby establish an Open Developement Area over the premises of Helen Cochran as shown forth on the map attached to the application, upon condition that streets or highways shall be of not less than 50 foot width. VOTE Of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; ouncilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark' WHEREAS, Susan H. and Raymond W. Terry have made application to the Town Boardfor the establishment of an open developement area pursuant to the provisions of Section 280-.A of the Town Law, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has heretofore referred the matter to the Plan- ning Board for its advice and WHEREAS, the Planning Board has recommended that the application of Susan H. and Raymond W. Terry be granted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of Southold does hereby establish an OPEN DEVELOPEMENT AREA over premixes of Susan H. & Raymond W. Terry as shown forth on the map attached to the application upon condition that streets or highways shall be of not less that 50 ft. wide. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill , Clark and Demarest. Meeting recessed at 5 P.M. to be reconvened at 7:30 at Town Clerk's Office in Southold, N.Y. ,54 The meeting of the Town Board was cceconvened at the Town Clerk's Office at 7:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Norman E. Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and .Demarest, and the Planning Board. The Town Board discussed at length with the Planning Board about highways and streets in Open Developement .Areas , pursuant to the provisions of Section 280-a of the Town Law. Minutes of this discussion were taken by the Planning Board. Moved icy Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, a petition was received from Felix Doroski & Wife, relative to change of zone, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Cldrk of the Town of Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901, sub-division C- of Article 1X of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Soiathold, Suffolk County, New York. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. Board in accordance with Section 9019 sub-division C of .Article 1Xof t$e Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. AdJournment was at 9:30 P.M. Ralph P. Booth Town Clerk SPECIAL MEETING OF DECEMBER 5, 1957. A public hearing was called by , the Southold Town Board at the Town Clerk's Office , Southold, N.Y. on December 5,. 1957. Due to the great number of people attending, it was necessary to hold the meeting at the Legion Hall. The meeting was called to orddr at 7:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. This meeting was on the proposals to amend the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold by changing from "A" Residential and Agriultural District to "B" Business District on parcels owned by James Wasson, Arthur Mehl, Angelo and Georgette Petrucci and Jack and Irving Levine. The minutes of this meeting were recorded by George T. Lederle. Moved by Justice Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That the Lighting District Bills in the sum of $1,611.48 be and the same are hereby ordered paid.
