Suffolk and State of' New York, by a majority of its duly
elected Trustees , and pursuant to a written resolution
adopted by a majority of the Board of Trustees of said Town
Of Southold at a meeting held pursuant to notice duly, given

WHEREA.9, the Trustees of the common lands of the
Village of Orient, Suffolk County, New York, ,did heretofore
execute and deliver to The P®ople of the State of Nee' York
a deed purpor4n$to convey lands known as Long Beach. to The
People .of the State of New York for park purposes under the
jurisdiction of the Long Island 'State Park Commission, and
i-MEREAS, question has arisen ad to whether or
not the lands desarlbed in the said deed may be common
lands of the Town of Southold, and
:'WHEREAS, in the judgment of the party of the
first part , tse establishment of a State Park at Long Beach,
Orient Point , in the .Town of Southold, will be a benefit to
the people of the Town of Southold and the people of the
State of New York;
NOW9 in ordey;, to cure any possible defeat in the
title to Thee People of the State of ivew'Yo rk to the .:said..,
lands at Long Beach, and pursuant to the petit-ion of the
Long island State Park Commission, the party of the first
part does hereby convey, remise and release unto the party
of the second part , any and all right, title and intereat
