WHEREAS,pursuant to the provisions of the Nassau,Suffolk and Erie Counties Improvement Act the above
entitled proceeding was duly instituted and that by an order duly entered therein three commissioners of estimate to
ascertain and determine the compensation to be made to the respective owners of the real property to be acquired in
said proceeding were duly appointed and that the oaths of said commissioners were duly filed in the office of the
County Clerk of Suffolk County on June 25 19 62,and that thereupon title in fee simple to
the property to be acquired in said proceeding became vested in the County of Suffolk,New York,and
WHEREAS, immediately prior to the vesting of title as aforesaid in the said County of Suffolk
JOHN J. and RUTH VIRGINIA HAAS of P.O. BOX 321Mattituck, New York
owned the parcel of property acquired as aforesaid and designated in said proceeding as Map No.9
which said parcel of property is more particularly described as follows:

ALL those poces or parcels of land situate in the Town of Southold,
County of Suffolk, State of New York for the reconstruction of Middle Road
Extension County Road No. 27A, as shown on Map No. 9 and described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the northerly boundary of the existing
Middle Road Extension at the intersection of the said Boundary with the
division line between the lands of Edith M. Young, reputed owner on the
west, and the lands of John J. Haas and Ruth V. Haas, reputed owners on
the east, said point being 40 feet distant northerly, moasured at right angles,
from station 39+ 37 y of the hereinafter described survey center line of the
proposed reconstruction of Middle Road Extension County Road No. 27A, thence
northerly along said division line 21 :h feet to a point 60 feet distant northerly,
measured at right angles, from station 39+ 30 +of said center line; thence
easterly 43 +feet to a point 60 feet distant northerly, measured at right angles,
from station 39+ 73.20 of said center line; thence easterly on a curve deflecting
to the left having a radius of 1829.86 feet, an arc distance of 453 dr feet to a
point on the said northerly boundary of Middle Road Extension and being also
a point on the former high water mark of Mattituck Creek as it existed prior to
placing of hydraulic fill in 1956, the last mentioned point being 60 feet distant
northerly, measured at right angles, from station 44+41 t of the said center
line; thence westerly along said former high water mark 122 i feet to a point
on the first mentioned northerly boundary of said existing Middle Road
Extension, the last mentioned point being 40 feet distant northerly, measured
at right angles, from station 43 + 21 &of the said center line;thence westerly
along the said northerly boundary on a curve deflecting to the right having a
radius of 1849.86 feet an arc distance of 341 t feet to a point 40 feet distant
northerly, measured at right angles, from station-39+ 73.20 of said center
line; still westerly along the last mentioned northerly boundary of existing
Middle Road Extension 36:h feet to the point of beginning; being 8,130
or 0.200 acres more or less.
