The meeting was called to order at 1.30 P.M. w th the following present: Supervisor K1ipp;, Councilman Albertson; Justices C1A)?k .anduDemarest; Superinten- dent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims against the Town, @oncluding the audit work at 2:OOP.M. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That minutes of- the meeting of September 24 be and hereby are dyly approved as read. Vote of Town Board:Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting of October 2 be and hereby are duly approved as read. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Clark and Demarest. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, October 29, 1957, . at -T:30 P.M. Vote . of Town Board:Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Clark and Demarest. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That the Town Board meeting be. recessed at 2:1 5 P.M. so that the Board can attend the funeral services of Albert Herzog, Foreman of the Southold Town Highway D partment. Vote of Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Klipp`; Councilman Albertson; Justices Clark and Demarest. The meeting was reconvened at 3:30 P.M. Moved by Justice Demarest: seconded by Justice Clark: .RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of- $4,610.16; LiChting District Bills in the amount of $11627.15; Fishers Island Ferry District Bills in the amount of $10,450.26 be and hereby are ordered paid. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Clark and Demarest. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That the recommendation of the Planning Board approving Plan 1 of th petition of John A. Muir, George G. Muir and A. B. Rosen- berg, of East Marion, dated October 2, 1957, be held in abeyance until the recommendation is received from the Planning Board relative to part 2 of the petition. Vote of Town ,Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Clark and Demarest. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: WHEREAS, the Town Board received a petition from Albert Masters for a change of Zone aftdedidcussed the matter, it was RESOLVED: That the petition be turned over to the Town Attorney for his opinion. Vote of Town Board: .Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Clark and Demarest. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of Southold approve the action of the Commistioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District at their meet- ing held on October 3, 1957, on increasing the annual compensation of the position of Manager of the Fishers Island Ferry District from $4800. to $5200. per annum, and be it further RESOLVED: That this increase be effective as of October 1, 1957. ' Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest: BUDGET RESOLVED: That this Town Board does hereby prepare and approve as the preliminary budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on the 1st day of January, 1958, the itemized statement of estimated revenues and expenditures hereto attached and made a part of. this resolution, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED: That such preliminary budget shall be filed in the. . office of the . Town Clerk where it shall be available for inspection by any interested person at all reasonable hours, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED: That this Board shall meet at 2 o'clock p.m. on the 7th day of November, 1957, for the purpose of holding a public hearing upon such preliminary budget, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk give notice of such .public hear- ing in the manner provided in Section 113 of the Town. Law, and that such notice be published in substantially the following form:- NOTICE OF HEARING UPON PRELIMINARY BUDGET Notice is hereby given that the preliminary budget of the Town of Southold for the fiscal year beginning January 1st, 1958, has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk at Southold, New York, where it is available for inspection by any interested person at all resonable hours. Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Southold will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a public hearing thereon, at THE OFFICE OF THE SUPERVISOR, Greenoort. The Southold Town Board met at .the Town Clerk's Offixe on October 16, 19571 and was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark, Demarest and Town Clerk Booth. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Albertson: WHEREAS , the bouthold Town P lanning Board has prepared' an official report and recommendation upon the petition of Robert H. Preston and LaGrant Chapman for a change of 'zone from "A" Residentill and A,,ricultural. Distaict to "B" Business District on their real property near the Village of Green- port, also the petition of William M. Beebe for a change of zone from "A" Rc-sidential and A.ricultural District to "B" Business District on his real property at Cutchogue ' also the report and recommendation on the proposal to amend the Building Zone Ordinance by adding the-°eto Section 1013 exeptions as to certain sub-division lots , NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by the Southold Town Board at the Town Clerk's Office in Southold , on Thurs- day, Nov. 7, 1957, at 7:00 P.M. on the proposal to amend the Building Zone Ordinance. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp;Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Juttice Demarest: WHEREAS , a petition was received from Jack Levin and Irving Levin relative to changeof zone , NOW, THE EFORE, BE IT HISOLVED: That the To n Clerk of the Town of Souhold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901, sub-division C of klaticle 1X of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk Co. , New York.
