MEETING OF JUNE 119 1957.
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor- Norman.
E. Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, June 11, 1957. The meeting was
called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following -present: Supervisor
Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest;
Superintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town' Clerk
Booth.
The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit. to examine claims against
the Town concluding the audit work- at 2 o 'clock P.M.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That the minutes of May 21 and June 4 be and hereby are
duly approved as , read.
Vote of Town Board : .Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson;
Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That Justice Henry A. Clark be and hereby is appointed a
committee of one to attend the Long Island Home Builders Institute
sponsoring an Industrial Symposium and Lunche6n in the Georgian
Room of the Garden City Hotel on June 18, 1957 and be it further
RESOLVED: That the necessary expenses incurred while attending said
conference is a legal charge against the Town.

Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That the Supervisor recommend to the United States Depart-
ment-- of Public Works that two (2) hour parking limit be established
on the north and south sides of the State Highway Toute 25 in the
vivinity of Southold, starting at a point west of the Southold Post
Office and extending to a point east of the Southold Fire House, as
recommended by the Board of Directors of the Southold-Peconic Civic
Association, Inc.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson;
Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Justice Clark;' seconded by Councilman Albertson;
RESOLVED: That the Increase Certificate of the Aetna Casualty and
Surety Company on Bond No. lSll8994 covering the Bond -of Norman E.
Klipp as principal (the coverage of said Bond is increased from the
sum of $5500 to the suit of $9500.00) be and the same is hereby approved.

and Demarest.

WHEREAS, a petition was received from Charles 0. and Florence A.
Ziegler relative to change of zone,
NOW, THEREFOR-E-, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of
Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application
to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901 Subdivision C
of .Article 1X of. the Building Zone Ordinance of the own of Southold,
Suffolk County, New York.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson;
Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest.

WHEREAS, a petition was received from Horace Kyser relative to change
of zone
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of
Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application
to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901 Sub-division c
of .Article 1X of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold,
Suffolk County, New York.

WHEREAS, a petition was received from Dawn Estates, Inc. relative to
change of Zone
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of
Southold' be and he hereby is directed to' transmit this application
to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 9019 subdividion C
of Article 1X pf the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town ,of Southold,
County of Suffolk and State of New York.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson;
Justices Tuthill , Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark:
WHEREAS, a petition was received from Dawn Estates, Inc. for a
variance to the Zoning Ordinance,
Be it RESOLVED: That the petitions be turned over to the Town Attorney
for an opinion on the Map of Captain Kidd Estates.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson;
Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest.
Moved by Justice Clark: seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That Bond No. 622255, issued by the Travelers Indemnity
Company in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) on behalf
of Alice Treadwell Oswald be and . the some is hereby approved. as to
its form, manner of execution and sufficiency of sureties therein.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson;
justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest.

RESOLVED:That General Bills in the amount of $17,924.20; Lighting
District Bills, in the amount of $1, 59229; Fishers Island Ferry
District Bills in the amount of $89262:29, be and the some are here-
by ordered paid.

Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest:
RESOLVED: That the Police Report for the month of May be accepted
by the Town Board and placed on file.
