HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-05/14/1957-S 396 MEETING OF MAY 14, 1957. A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the Town Clerk's Office on Tuesday, May 14, 1957. The meeting was called to order at 4:00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest; Town Attorney and Town Clerk Booth. Moved by Justice Demarest-' seconded by Councilman Albertson: RESOLVED: That the compensation of Theodore B. Howard Police Sergeant of the Town of Southold, be increased from $15. 50 to _ 17.00 per diem, effective as of May 11, 1957• Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor--Klipp; Council <an Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, a petition was received from Margaret W. Roache relative to change of Zone , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold be -nd he hereby is directed to transmit this application to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901 , subdivision C of Article 17 of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, provided the $25.00 fee is paid. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Councilman "'lbertson; seconded by Justice Demarest: WHEREAS , a communication and map was received from Walter f. Kapp, Esq. relative to the request of Margery D. Burns for an open developement area for her property at Southold, Now, therefome be it RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Souhold be and he hereby is directed to transmit the communication and map to the Planning Board in accordance with the provisions of Section 280 (a) of the Town Law. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Couccilman .Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. RESOLUTION B BY A POLITICAL PARTICIPATING IN THE NEW YORK STATE EMPLOY.EP�S RETIREMENT SYSTEM TO DESIGNATE THE PROPOSED EFFECTIVE DATE OF OLD*AGE A ;D SURVIVORS INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR ITS EMPLOYEES At a meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Southold , State of New York, held at Southold , New York, on May 14, 1957, Councilman Albertson offered the following resolution: Seconded by Justice Louis M. Demarest . RESOLVED: 1. That the Town of Southold , pursuant to S'�cti_on 218 of the Federal Social Security Act and .Article 3 of the Tetirement and Social Security Law, will provide old-age and survivors insurance coverage for eligible effic.ers and em.,ployees effective on the following date: June 16, 1956. 2. That the following official is hereby authorized to represent the Town of Southold and is directed to comply with the regulations of the Direct- or of the State Social Security Ar,ency designed to extend old-age and survivors insurance coverage to positions of officers and employees pursuant to Section 218 of the Federal Social Security .Act and Article 3 of the Retirement and -Social Security Law: Name and Title: Mr. Norman E. Klipp, Supervisor of the Town of Southold, .Address: 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. State of New York: SS: County of Suffolk: I , Ralph P. I further certify that the full Town Board consists of 6 members , and that 5 of such members were present at such meetin,, and that 5 of such members voted in favor of the above resolution.
